Unfortunately its not available in silver but what about a CM Media 281? It uses a 120mm fan(s), its a full sized ATX chassis, and can be used as a desktop or tower. http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/ProductList.aspx?catID=633 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811119123 Its the clos...

how can i clean the Chipset/CPU from the previous applied thermal paste without screwing-up? I like the coffee filter+99% rubbing alcohol method, really as long as your are not poring alcohol all over your board and powering it up right away your going to be fine. You could fill up all the cpu pin ...

Use a single pass radiator like the Black Ice GTS that was already mentioned, the reason for this is the fin density is lower then dual pass thus requiring less air pressure to push or pull air through. In sort they will work better with low speed fans. Do not bother with the chipset blocks, again t...

Try to get a Coolermaster Centurion 532 or 534 if you can find one on sale, I used a older Centurion 5 for a year and a half and it was not a bad case. Just buy a couple 120mm Yate-Loon fans 5v mod them and it should be quiet enough. *Edited (twice) due my typing and grammar abilities were somewhat ...

Ubuntu , and using Automatix to install all the hard stuff is a good way to get a fully working OS with out compiling anything. Automatix basically it makes it easy to install non free things mostly media codecs that can not be included for legal reasons, and other items that are not included due t...

So basically your looking for 3pin connectors. (Yes those cables are annoyingly short on Nexus fans.) Frozen CPU Molex Connectors , and the molex pins. Jab-Tech Molex connectors , and Molex pins. Most places that sell stuff to computer moders have the items you are looking for so shop around. There ...

In the toms hardware guide vga heatsink round up the vf900 it did not actually cool there x1900xtx very well, and they were using a stock Gigabyte Aurora case for the benchmarking. You could look into the Thermal Right HR-03 vga cooler. It can be mounted below or wrapped around the top of the card, ...

What about useing something like modder's mesh, it would likely help with cooling and would not look too out of place on your case. And if its not on a rug you could always add a air intake below the gfx card.

On your Asus mobo in bios enable Qfan if you have it, thats what I'm useing to control the fan speed on my 7700cu. Basically Qfan your CPU fan speed is controlled via hardware so it should not matter what OS you are running. The only down side to qfan is you will likely have to use the ASUS pc probe...

The wave master is a great looking case and one of my personal favorite stock case designs ever, to bad they are noisy and have poor cooling. Basically I would get one for case moding project or something but for a quiet computer stay away from that thing. Basically the front intake is far to restri...

Pc Power and Cooling Silencer 750w Quad, is the only relatively quiet power supply on Nvidias 8800gtx SLI approved list. In the P180 with the 8800 the GTX you need to remove the top hard drive cage due to the lengith of the card. But if your planing on SLI then I would consider looking for a case wi...

With the space constraints I would go with a Zalman 7000cu(92mm fan) or 7700cu(120mm fan). The acoustics of the fans Zalman used are not the absolute best, but unfortunately I cant think of any other low-ish profile heatsinks that will give good noise vs performance and that will fit. The Zalman 700...

In its original configuration it is far from quite with the biggest offender being the front 80mm fan. Some of the issues the case will have in a low noise configuration are. The front mesh will create a small amount of noise when air is drawn through it. Your stuck with a 80mm fan in the front if y...
