rpsgc is sort of correct. It's true the card won't downclock the ram at all (and the gpu less) if more than one monitor is attached. The reason for this afaik is that it is only possible to adjust memory clock during vblank, and since multiple monitors don't run synchronized it is impossible to get...

I have not heard any problems like that either. You don't need more 3D horsepower to set up a 2nd or 3rd display. Either you are doing something wrong or there is something wrong with your card. A monumental problem like that wont affect the whole 5000 series without everyone knowing about it. No w...

It might make a half-way decent myth/XBMC machine, running at very low power. But you can't output full hd resolution in digital form. You only get LVDS (limited to 1366x768) and VGA (limited to 2048x1536, note N450 has a limit of 1400x1050 instead), no dvi/hdmi. It is possible though for board man...

I've only seen two reviews on the 5770 vapor-x card so far, @ techgage and hexus. Neither provides audio testing, just a "sounds quiet to me" subjective test with their rather noisy setups. ht4u also did a review and they quite liked it: http://ht4u.net/reviews/2009/sapphire_radeon_hd5770_vapor_x/i...

Quite possible though again might take 2-3 months or so before non-reference cards appear after launch (I still haven't seen a single non-reference 57xx/58xx card, except different coolers and 512MB versions of the 5750, though even in this case I think it used the same pcb). I wouldn't necessarily bet on low profile 56xx cards. We have low profile 4650 today, so im hoping :) Oh, wasn't aware these exist. I think though these appeared a lot later than the "normal" 4650, and they seem to be a bit rare still. So yes I guess you could be right 5650 might appear as low prof...

Re: Powercolo 5750: high idle consumption

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Powercolor/HD_5750_PCS/28.html low quality pcb? mosfet? vrm? Since only idle power draw is affected, I don't think so. Seems more likely to be a bios problem (either not downclocking memory or gpu to the levels other cards are doing, or not lowering gpu voltage to...

I'm not sure it would be impossible with stock heatsink, provided you have some minimal case airflow, you're willing to go down all the way to 1000Mhz and are additionally undervolting (to less than what CnQ would set at that frequency). The Intel Atom CPU (&Chipset) supports 64-bit instructions but not 64-bit memory addressing... All Intel Atom based notebooks/pc's/mainboards have this issue... No, this works differently for Phenom /-derivatives.
