Re: SilverStone Temjin TJ08-E: MicroATX Evolved
Great layout IMO. I love how airflow from that huge fan passes to all components directly. Who needs another drive cage? If you want a server, then wouldn't you instead get something more server oriented? Though there's probably flaws in that logic =P. The Seasonic is perfect for this case too, sinc...

Re: Cooler Master Silencio 550 Quiet ATX Tower
I think this is a great offering from Cooler Master. I like the added features, and the simplistic style. I like the idea of positive pressure, without having to resort to mods to accomplish it. Sure, it wouldn't be the best choice for a heavy duty workstation, but I think most people will do with s...

Re: Scythe Kozuti Low Profile CPU Heatsink
Nice little thing!
May have to go with one for the next ITX build, which btw, I can't seem to find a more "definitive" choice as far as sandy bridge ITX boards go, they all seem a bit "just ok" right now. Let's get more board reviews! =P

Wow, way to go Kingwin =P. Price is a little steep for me though, maybe if it goes on sale as often as the Seasonic X-650 does...

Re: HDPLEX H3.SODD Fanless Mini-ITX Media Case
I would have loved to see the case an inch taller or so to fit an internal TV card, maybe using a riser card. Yes, I could use a USB TV receiver, but having all the components inside the case makes it so much cleaner. Now it's just a half-arsed solution for a fully-featured HTPC. Get an HDHomeRun T...

Re: Antec ISK 100 Mini-ITX Case
I too have a problem with the power supply included, it is just unnecessarily big. The cables are also ridiculous. This is a problem I have with cables in general, sometimes it feels like they really should be better implemented and thinner/easier to manage. You would think that as you went with sma...

Re: Miika's DIY Silent AI-frame HTPC
Interesting design =). I recently re-did (again) the old HTPC. I am STILL using an Ahanix Dvine5 case. It just doesn't seem worth it to me to get rid of it. (Shipping costs would kill any non-local sale). I have now updated it to an ITX Core i3 530 setup and the room within is ridiculous, seeing as ...

Re: Gigabyte H55N-USB3: The De Facto LGA1156 Mini-ITX Board?
I just got this board and had to look on how to control the fan speeds with SpeedFan, took me a while but I figured out which settings in SpeedFan it was talking about =P. Now, I can't seem to change the second fan's speed at all, the System Fan header that is not PWM. Is there any way to enable con...

Re: HDPLEX H10 Fanless microATX Case
Love the noiseless design. I want something like this for mini-ITX minus an Optical DiscDrive, nope, not even a slim disc drive! I love mini-itx, I don't see the real need for micro-ATX anymore (aside from an ATX replacement). Furthermore, the more I think about cases for mini-ITX, the more I feel l...

Re: Asus E35M1-M Pro: AMD Fusion Motherboard
Maybe ION board prices will finally come down... On second thought, I don't think I could invest in ION, seeing as it's pretty much outclassed by this. Nevertheless always good to see more ITX options. I've considered upgrading a LGA775 setup to ION, or even a Zotac GF9300 board, but I just find the...

Re: Electronic Noise and Tinnitus
Lately I've been hearing some high-pitched ringing. I've always had something like this when, say, after experiencing loud noise throughout the day, never a big deal however, was gone by the next day. Lately, I think the problem lies elsewhere. Been under some stress, also a new med for something un...

Can't wait for the review! I myself can't stand optical disc drives, don't even have them in any of my desktops. Who even uses those anymore? =P Even those who do, do so like too rarely enough to justify having one connected at all times, or at least that's how I see it hah. You could always just ha...

Why not just whatever card you want, and an arctic cooling accelero S1, with the same Scythe fan?

Sweet PSU, See, I'm still on my Trust P150+Antec NeoHE 430w PSU, and if and when I had to upgrade I'd like to go quieter (though currently this NeoHE is prob quieter than my current System Fan). My problem is that because this PSU uses an 80mm fan, I'm able to isolate it from the system (In a very D...

How quiet is the Antec Earthwatts EA650?
This thing has great reviews on newegg, but can't find a lot of info about it here. Of course the most those reviews state is that it's very quiet =P Someone did mention that they could not hear it over their case fans which were set to about 15-19dba. Can anyone give more detailed information? How ...

Well I would think it'd be bad due to it being closer to you, and it being not so quiet, 23db. I am fine with not pushing tons of air, the components won't be anything like the systems spcr uses to test this thing. It'd be a midrange quad, and a midrange gpu, not SLI or any OC'ing. Hard drives, well...

Antec P180 Mini Silencing Tips?
Just read the spcr review and it's great as usual, but I felt it basically approached this case as intended for extreme gamers only. So I'm looking for tips on how to completely silence this case. The only thing the review really added was a slipstream fan for intake. The update on the article state...

Gotta love Antec. I'm still here on my P150, but the P183 will definitely be my next case. I'm also still on the stock 430w PSU. I find it funny how higher and higher wattage psu's are marketed, yet most components are driving towards a better efficiency and lower power consumption. I guess it makes...
