I would say, get the MCP350 or 355. A D5 is pretty much overkill because the tubing of the reserator is too small for the flow the D5 can generate. MCP350 will probably need somekind of top because the inlet of the original pump is on the side. You'lll need a inlet on the top (judging from google im...

Hehe, thanks for your opinion! The problem here is that the info in the web looks like wrong. They state the case is 133 mm high, but don't say whether it is counting the feet on. On other sites, they state it is 150mm, and hence my doubt :) Mm, i go and do some research ;) Finding some people with...

Hmm, im not that into protection. Every PC in this house runs AVG Free + Windows Firewall. They also have CCleaner and hitman pro installed. That way i can remove virusses and spyware and clean up temp files/cookies/other crap. Every PC gets scanned once in a week on a sunday. No virusses for 2 year...

Thanks for the fast reply! :) We're talking about these pumps, and they will fit into the Reserator 1 tower, right? http://www.swiftnets.com/products/mcp350.asp http://www.swiftnets.com/products/mcp355.asp They're listed as 24--26 and 30--32 dBA, respectively; anyone who knows how loud they're in r...

That isnt hard. Get a old broken fan and rip off the connector. Then solder up the connector onto the twinturbo (reds to reds yellow to yellow [if you have a yellow] and black to black). thats true, but I'm hoping I can leave it as it is for another card in the future tho... Strip off the stock con...

I would say get the noctua cooler. Both are good performers, the Noctua is just a little more silent (and you get 2 fans with it so u can use the fans in a push-pull combo or use one fan as exhaust. Also the Asus GT240 is what i would get. Those gpu fans are tiny and whiny so. When you have a well-v...

Re: Tricools and controllers
It is (so you can run tricools on high with a 3pin to molex cable on a controller so the internal resistor wont work). But some controllers need a RPM signal (like Scyte's Kaze whatever controller). According to Antec's site, the tricools do RPM reporting: http://store.antec.com/Product/cooling-tri...

I have a Mini P180 and I'm using the stock mounting mechanism for my drives. Some vibration is transferred to the cage, but it's not excessive. I just transported the Seagate 1 TB drive from my previous computer; it wasn't originally purchased as a particularly quiet drive. It's about as loud as my...

Re: HDD loudest part in system
I can mount it in rubbers but i dont want to because i go to lans and during transport i dont want falling drives. There is a secure way to do this if you are concerned about the HDD slipping out of the elastic during transport. - Tie off four elastic bands in the HDD cage. - Get a large cable tie ...

HDD loudest part in system
Ok thats a good thing. But i think the drive is resonating.
Case is a P180 mini and i thought those rubber mounting grommets were against the resonating. Is it possible to fix it?

You cant control tricools because they already have a fanspeed controller. Aren't the tricools' control just a variable resistor? So that you could leave them on high speed, and do voltage control separately? In any case, I use a Scythe Kaze Master, am quite happy with it: http://www.newegg.com/Pro...

P180 mini + WD Blue 640GB
Well, my PC is darn quiet now. But i want to make it more quiet. The weird thing is that my HDD is mounted in a antec HDD cage with those rubbers and well. I think that that makes the noise. Because when i stop all fans the sound of my pc doesnt change. So its the HDD (i dont have more moving parts)...

Diy i guess. I thought about it and you can make from 2 strips of alu mounts for your drives (just drill a few holes through them) and run a rubber alike thing though some holes which arent used for mounting your drives. Like so strip - hole for hdd - hole for hdd strip - hole for elastic suspension...
