While 75 is still hotter than it needs to be, it is certainly a survivable temp since gpus can get to like 110 without any damage. Remember that the 75 will go down some over time as you give the TIM some time to cure. A slow fan just to circulate a little air should give you a fairly substantial dr...

That tells me where the -5v wire goes, still doesn't tell me what it does. SpeedFan tells me that I have 4.05v on my -5v line. Then again SpeedFan tells me I have 2x +5v lines and a -5v line and a -12v line and a Vbat... Not sure why I have 2x +5v lines, esp. since one has .11v on it, or what the -...

Good grief, I am guessing the 106 wasn't while doing FurMark either. Maybe you can just underclock the video card using RivaTuner or something. xbit says that the 7300 GS only uses 16w at full load. The only ways I could see 106 possible are: Damaged thermal sensor Ambient case temp > 90c Heat-sink ...

I'm guessing that fail came from the general laziness that created leet and epic is just gross hyperbole. I think going forward isn't always bad, just when it is horribly used in the corporate world. There are legitimate times to use going forward. With more complete, what if you had something that ...

MikeC, I think you start doing tons of consulting work; help some of these companies figure what the hell people (read: us) want. IIRC you said you helped Antec with the P180 & 182; they and the solo are pretty much the goto cases on this site. Maybe help Antec make some good mATX and ITX cases, get...

Okay great, will look into the E5200! But hey what is this 640GB drive you talk about? I can't seem to find it here http://www.wdc.com/en/products/Products.asp?DriveID=506 unless you mean 3.5" WD6400AAKS which I did not like http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=52479 . MSI 4830 PowerPlay power consumption
So I got the MSI R4830-T2D512; looked like they shipped the OC edition which is a whole 10mhz faster! Anyway, it seems like PowerPlay isn't working, it stays at 585 core 900 memory. I can reduce it to 295 core and 450 memory with RivaTuner which cuts off about 5-7w or so from idle, but can I do any ...

Neil, I am pretty sure that the general consensus is that we sped it up by some undetermined degree, not that we started it. The earth naturally goes through warming and cooling cycles (see: ice ages, mini-ice-ages, etc.) Also, didn't Einstein disprove Newton's Theory of Gravity? Rather, that the sp...

Where to buy (USA): IR Blaster & Accelero S1 rev. 2
My trusty newegg seems to be failing me; I have never actually seen an S1 rev 2 in stock and I only ever seem to see 1 remote with an IR blaster on the site. There is nothing specifically wrong with the remote that I can see, but the item listing for it is missed up; it never actually shows combos w...

Ok, seriously... Unless I have missed something somewhere; at the same frequency, 128bit gddr5 = 256bit gddr3. Why does everyone keep complaining about the 128bit memory interface? That is like complaining that I gave you 10 dimes instead of 20 nickles. Anyway, I got tired of playing the waiting gam...

Higher Power Phase, good or bad for power consumption?
I briefly looked through the forums and couldn't find an answer.
Are more phases in the power circuitry good or bad for power consumption? in general?
what does 4+1 power phase mean?
