It's being reported via Everest Ultimate Edition: Sensor Properties: Sensor Type SMSC EMC6D103 (SMBus 2Eh) GPU Sensor Type Analog Devices ADT7473 (NV-I2C 2Eh) We've also noticed that his PSU is running rather warm. He has a S12 600W A3. I wasn't there, but he says that it's hot to the touch, but not...

" is there enough airflow inside the case to get cool air to the CPU cooler? " Yes. He is using an Antec 3700BQE. The temp goes down when a desk fan blows across it; is the stock fan running at it's proper speed? Is it plugged into the correct header on the motherboard? Yes. It is running @ 800RPM.

Pentium 550 Running @ 70C! Help!

So, my friend has got a Pentium 4 550 system, and before he had the Intel Stock Cooler, which was soso. He got an Alpine 7 from Arctic Cooling, and definately loves how quiet it is. However, the CPU now is running super hot, at about 70C. IF he points a desk fan at the case with the side panel off i...

I just wanted to let everybody out there know that this CPU cooler is definately QUIET, however it suffers from one BIG problem - the mounting mechanism. Basically it relies on metal clips ------------------------- | ............................| ||..............CPU.......|| |..........................

It's just like all the other G5 cooling systems, with a SINGLE 92mm (i think, if not it's 80mm) fan. Easily replaceable.

I just find that the sleeving looks nicer... Eh I probably will just stick with mine, as if I were to get the A3, I'd be too lazy to swap the PSU's out, despite how easy it should be ;)

Very nice review, Devon. I have the S12 600W A2, and am wondering whether or not it is worth it for me to upgrade to the newest revision. Could it be LOUDER? I have a pretty heavily loaded system in a P180, and i have actually used ALL the 4 pin Molex connectors with what I have. Not that I plan on ...

To clarify - - The P180 reviewed by SPCR was the 1st version. You are ordering the 'second version'. The diff between the two are marginal. Mainly it's just they threw out the VGA/CPU duct, and some tiny changes. - The S12 mounts upside down, so that the 120mm fan points UP. - Yes, it will fit a mAT...

Lian-Li new G cases

http://www.frozencpu.com/cst-378.html?id=PuGzeXzh Seen @ CES, I personally found these cases to be quite intriguing with the re-locatable 120mm fan mount. As per all Lian Li cases, the reverse-ATX design, but another thing that seems interesting is how they have the PSU directly over where the CPU n...

We have the z555 on display at my store (BestBuy). It also runs SUPER hot, probalby due to the space constraints, plus the scorching Prescott CPU and the 6600 in it. You could try internally measuring the height, and then seeing if possibly you can stick in an XP90/120 and a 120mm fan right there ;)...

Maxtor goes mini with their OneTouch III Most likely uses Maxtor's 2.5" HDD line (i forgot the name), 5400 RPM, USB 2.0. The enclosure sure looks pretty ... although the HDD I'd want to stick a 7K100 in there -_-... Lacie has also turned mini with their Little Big Disk. However, theirs is of higher...

Memtest/CPUBurn no I have not yet.

What I probably will do is see if I can borrow an Ultra ATA HDD from one of my computers, and then install Windows XP Pro 32-bit. That way, we can address two issues - SATA, and the HDD. I wont be able to do that until probably this weekend. Thanks.

Yes, everything is plugged in securely. My guess is :

1. Motherboard faulty/bad - probably S-ATA controller
2. RAM (kind of doubt it)
3. HDD (seems to be the culprit - aka, SLOW)

#3 is the most probable reason, if you ask me. Oh, I forgot. He has an AGP 8x ATi 9550 video card as well.
