As I remember, the X2 3800 (35W) was only released to system vendors, and not to retail. I don't know what you are using this system for, so it is hard to make recommendations. As for a cooler, I have a Thermaltake Big Typhoon in a Sonata, and it fits well. The whole unit is 122x122 and 130mm high....

Just wondering do you have to buy the Supports S/PDIF out interface separate. I wish they included optical out right on the board.

I am getting myself wrong. But higher cfm is better, because it means more airflow. So now I dont get it, how can the lower rpm fans push more cfm.

What about you get a nice matx board, with a mobile amd or a sempron, and undervolt and underclock. My e6 sempron 3400+, does 5x200 at 1.100volts. I can lower it from windows to 0.875.

It does get pretty noisy. I used the hitachi tool to set the hard drive accoustic to 128. Also I tried the Intel chipset identifier, and says no intel chipset found.

I was thinking in order to get rid of my hard drives noise, is by putting it in a way sata enclosure. And boot from it. Put the sata enclosure away in a desk door, so I cannot heard the noise.
Is this a bad idea, will the hard drive over heat, or its inpossible to boot of sata enclosure.

Could someone quickly explain to me, what does it mean when Amd says their EE x2 3800+ TDP is 35watts, does this mean it uses 35watts at full load for both cores, or each core uses 35watts x 2, 70watts.
