ATI's Response To ? On X800 Max Temp.
Further to my post [t=29551) I asked ATI for advice on what was the recommended maximum temp of my X800 pro. ATI advised simply "should not exceed 100 deg C in burn" At first I thought that this was high but considering the ATI knowledge Base gives frequency throttling for 9600 XT and 9800 XT up to ...

What temp does your X800 run
I have a Gigabyte GV RX80256D (ATI X800 GPU) and it runs around 60 deg C which seems a bit high. Being passively cooled maybe I need some active cooling
Anyone have temps for their ati X800 GPU

No it doesn't list the drives indivdually. Listed device is "Target : Si 0 Raid 0 Set 0 Vers: 1100 Capacity=390719 online" Yes I must agree with the comment that the raid controller is probably the problem. Since starting this pursuit, the sticky on temperature has diminished the passion for temp mo...

Programs which will NOT monitor HDD Temp in RAID configurati
Further to my posts at http://forums.silentpcreview.com/viewtopic.php?t=29456 If anyone is interested , I have installed and tried the following programs for temperature monitoring of hard drives in a RAID 0 configuration and not one one of them was successful. Most reported SMART overall status onl...

Tried HDDLife Pro and it says "Hard drive 0, Si raid 0 set, Temperature monitoring not supported " And Hard Drive 1 has same wording. Don't really understand MBM 5 (like Winnie I'm a bear of little brain) I get the temps from the three Fan access points on Mobo but all the sensors and diode listings...

Thanks for the reply I have just downloaded Speedfan and unfortunately it doesn't give me any temps of the hard drives themselves. Only the motherboard temps at the 3 fan points I have. I suspect that the samsungs SMART doesn't include temperature. The samsung site doesn't give much on the SMART sen...

Temp Monitoring Samsung SP200 4C
I have 2xsamsung SATA SP 200 4C drives in a Raid 0 configuration. Using "Active SMART" software I can monitor the drives for status but not the temperature.
Has anyone been able to monitor the temp of the SP 200 4C hard drive.
If so what software you using.
regards Bussoguy

I thought you might be interesred in a cheap and easy way to mount hard drives. Having splurged on a Thermaltake Tai Chi case I was a little surprised my machine was not as quiet as others had reported on this case. First I isolated the major noises to the rear fan and the hard drives. The fan was e...
