I've held this and an NV Silencer 5, and the NV Silencer is much heavier. I was surprised when I held this in my hand because I was expecting it to be much heavier. I believe the weight on the Cu version is 270g, and the weight on the AlCu version is 190g. Since I had a 6800 with a NV Silencer 5 whi...

http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/100096.jpg Blower Set: $5 shipped With the release of the PC-60Plus , this special blower was a welcome addition to the improved four-year old case design. >> 1°C seems not a great improve, but I have to be more precise : the cpu is running passive while it didn't before the swap. That's a huge improvement from an actively cooled heatsink to a passively cooled one! I remember when I ran my 3.0C passive, it was 42C idle with the XP-90, whereas now with ...

Dell 2001FP 20.1'' LCD monitor The whine is readily apparent when turning on the monitor, then slowly fades away after about 15 minutes of use. Not all 2001FP's suffer from this impairment. could you explain what the USB-key looking-like-thing is? I'm confused. This is the reason why I said it was great for notebook users, as you can disconnect this hub and take the mouse, or even the whole keyboard with you. Just plug this USB adapter in anywhere you want, and presto, you have functi...

A Mini Review: Logitech diNovo Cordless Media Keyboard

Nice! Probably runs cooler than my fanless 8500LE that I just recently modified. Do you have a fan on there at all? I saw your 8500 and I used to have that exact same heatsink on mine. Then I stumbled across this NB-1C courtesy of Sizzle and found a great use for it. It was either this or the south...

I've had strange buzzing noises in my at PC one time, turned out to be the mosfets ( the doughnut shaped things with the coils around them) in my PSU. The coils around them started swinging under certain load, used some high stable hot glue and totaly covered them up, noise gone. Those aren't MOSFE...

Actually my idea is for the heatpipe to come out from the PCI slot opening, make a 90 degree bend going up, and ending to around where the case exhaust is, and use the exhaust air to cool down the fins. For mounting, it'd need to come in two pieces. The heatpipes are inserted from outside the case,...
