Seems like a dream machine of today. :D Wouldn't mind having one myself. :)

Have you considered ASUS (premium something) mobo? It has an extra slot between the two PCIe slots and i assume it'll cool the 7800GTX a bit better. And it also has a NB heatpipe cooler.

[Q]Fairly quiet, but still capable of pushing air.

I've come to a point where i've accepted that i can't get my gear much quieter.
But what if i wan't to overclock a bit, and the slow spinning Nexus fans and clones aren't powerful enough.
Which fan(s) are a good enough compromise? Consider that i can stand a bit of "whoooosh". :D

I helped a friend to mount a Hiper 480W PSU. I though it was surprisingly quiet. Not that i made a direct somparison but it felt on par with my Nexus PSU. I may be fooled.
And i'd like a SPCR-like measument done before i change my mind.

Just because SPCR hasn't reviewed it doesn't make loud. ;);)

If you're having 4 HDDs, it may justify a 4in3 module, otherwise not. The stacker is so big and there's plenty of room to have the HDDs in elastic cord. I can show you some pics later, but not today. ( i'm turning 40 today ) The bottom hole of the Stacker is about 90mm wide, so it will obstruct a 12...

Yes, but i'll get back to you later. It's quiter than the 80*25 chinamade Panaflo i ordered at the same time. Edit: Sry, did you mean test it on VF700? No, i ordered a 80T-L also since i wasn't completely satisfied with the 80T-H. And i ordered a Panaflo 80L1A also. So i'll have some more testing to...

Ahh, finally someone with a Stacker that I can ask questions :D I'm wondering how much space there is around the PSU in the lower bay? I want to know if I can put a Seasonic with a vertical fan in there AND build a duct around it to the front of the case (as in my thread here ). I'd be really grate...

I did a comparison between the Zalman that comes with VF700 and a Panaflo 80T-H. At 12V the Panaflo spins noticable faster. It pushes more air and has more bearing noise. Definitely pushes at lot more air. At 5V the Panaflo is almost silent, whilst the Zalman is not. Panaflo pushes slightly more air...

If so, maybe i can give my view on it compared to a Panaflo 80T-H. (The 80T-L was out of stock. :( )

I've decided to ditch the upsidedown mount. The GPU gets a bit warmer this way, around 5-6°C and i don't gain that much elsewhere. And i'll try Aleksis thought on moving the PSU back above the Ninja. Perhaps there's room to mount the fan outside the PSU just sandwiched between the PSU and Ninja. :) ...

I have the Stacker and tested the 4in3 module when i got the case. The search noise isn't damped at all IMHO. At least very little. But the fans aren't very loud so you'll get good cooling and airflow in the case. Maybe their position isn't the optimal... If i had a need of many HDDs and wasn't as c...

I've tried both WinFox (LeadTek's SW) and Riva. Both reports it's ok and the new setting is 200MHz. But now no temps are lowered. I give up. I need that adrenaline for other stuff. :)

Yes, unfortunately. I'm considering reinstalling the stock fan or getting a Panaflo 80*15mm fan.

I've done some reearch. Removing the noise absorbers on the drivebays lowered the temp by an average of 3°C inside the case. Pretty much. I suppose it was more restrictive than i imagined. Good to find out. :)

Modding the AC NV5?

I have been fairly successful with swapping the fan on a Zalman VF700. But since i ditched the NV5 for that VF700, i've began to wonder if i can improve its performance. I like the idea of getting warm air out if the case but i feel the fan isn't that effective. I feel air bouncing back into the cas...

Sunbeam Fans. Any good? Anyone tested?

Can't find anything regarding those in this forum.
The 120mm are rated at 1200rpm and have sleeve bearing. 48.21CFM/21.75dB is perhaps not the truth.
Most (all?) do have LEDs unfortuantely but they can still be quite quiet. :)
Would be nice to take part of anyone's experience of those.

Help wanted! need to decide PSU.

I have spare parts to almost a complete PC. What i lack is a case and a PSU. I currently have a Nexus 4090 and i need to decide whether i should upgrade my current PSU and put the Nexus in my spare PC, or get a cheap PSU to power it. The spare PC is an Intel P4 2.4GHz w 512DDR 333MHz RAM and a GF4-T...

But isn't your current PSU the Nexus 4090? Yes it is, but up to certain level, steps in improvements become smaller, and this may seem small. For some reason my T-Balancer report no change in temp, but the nVidia reports only 27°C in temp. Strange since the sensor sits on the VF700 heatsink.
