RAM sinks are fine, you just need to spend the time to clean off your RAM properly. That being said, I'll buy your S1 set for $2 :)

What version of Matrix Storage Manager did you use?
Usually when I install Vista 64 I do not need drivers on install, but later when I install this, it'll say it's older than what's currently installed. I say overwrite the newer ones and things like eSATA start working.

In the last pic, look to the right of the Ninja. SPI270LE :) I'll have to be creative with the power cable, and I'm going to do a fan swap or maybe Bluefront's mesh mod. The plan is two optical drives, E8400 or E8500 (depending on which clocks 4 GHz with lowest volts/temps), and a 120mm S-Flex on th...

It could just be a horribly concave heat spreader.. I've had to lap so many C2D CPUs because of high temperatures at stock speeds.

No more coil whine when I move my mouse around!

Components include:

E8500
DFI LT X38-T2R
Radeon 3850

Any Radeon (3850/3870) would squeal with my HX620

Swapped over to the Modu82+ 625W and it's quiet again!

Just picked one up. After some very quick tests, I will be replacing my Hitachi 7K1000 with the Samsung HD103UJ. Both are enclosed in Scythe Quiet Drives. Idle whoosh is much less, AAM enabled seeks are much quieter. I'll be giving up a little bit of performance, but it's something I can deal with.

Hey guys, I have an Asus board, and as many threads mention , I am unable to permanently enable AAM. I am running Vista X64 so NHC is out of the question. HD Tune Pro gives me "Error setting AAM."
