niels007, I have another question, if you don't mind: if you set both fans of the VF-700s at the same speed, is the upper card getting hotter than the lower one? I think the upper should get hotter, because most of it's cooling air would be already warmed up by the lower card. Maybe a Zalman 7700 wo...

niels007, thank you very much! I am planning to buy an Asus A8N-SLI, it's a bit cheaper than the MSI, and I know for sure that the NB47J fits between the cards on this board. Could you tell please me how much space is between the VF-700 from the upper card and the chipset of your MSI? Or even better...

Hi, Has anyone put a VF-700 on a PCI-E 6600 GT? I am afraid it would be too tilted to the right. I want to upgrade to a nForce4-SLI with two 6600 GTs (with VF-700 AlCu) and to replace the chipset fan with the NB47J. It looks like the NB47J could obstruct the VF-700. Not on this topic (but as an alte...

If you get two 6800 GTs, then there's a high chance the 350W Phantom won't be enough, especially if you'll upgrade the CPU later. Maybe a Seasonic PSU would be better suited, while not fanless, they claim high amperage on the 12V line. I am not sure if the Zalman Reserator can properly cool this set...

Hi, From what I've seen all nForce4-SLI mobos have a fan on the chipset, but only the Asus A8N has the such a chipset position that you can change it with a Zalman NB47J. On the MSI SLI solution I'm pretty sure you can't. You may want to check my post (first at SPCR) on the A8N 8,000 rpm fan issue. ...

Hi, this is my first post at SPCR! I saw a picture of the A8N-SLI with the Zalman NB47J on the chipset, posted on the ArsTechnica forums. I suppose that a Zalman VF-700 could generate enough airflow to improve the efficiency of the NB47J. The fellow still had to post stability results, but he said i...
