Hi: Nice pics. I'm ordering a similar setup. (P182 + Corsair 620 HX) May I ask you, how id you manage to connect the 4-pin 12V connector into the motherboard. It seems so far from the Power Supply!! I'm used to do mid-tower rigs, and this is my first full tower P182 rig. How did you plug it? Thanks.

Upcoming Geforce 9800 G92 to be really quiet...
I know it's coming from The Inquirer (so basically filter with a boloney meter)
http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=41740
But perhaps, considering it's a 65nm shrink we might see a miracle.
I'm holding my money for this upgrade....

Thanks for the advice guys. Too bad there are no options for better IDE cables out there. Personally I've never had any problems with rounded ones. I've checked on the Control Panel, and everything looks fine. I wouldn't go with sata adapters, since my vid card covers two of them, leaving me only tw...

What is the Best IDE/ Floppy Round Cable to buy?
Hi guys: This might interest many in terms of cooling inside their cases. I currently have round cables for my IDE drives and my floppy. These are the typical UV reflective stuff... But now time has passed and I'm looking for the best round cables I can get. Meaning: a) They have to be the thinner t...

Thanks man for those great pictures, I've just saved them to my computer, a they provide a lot of hope or encouragement... My HIS Radeon 1900XTX ICeQ3 WAS very very quiet. Until the fan started giving in, and now I can hear it very noticeably on my rig. I've just purchased an Accelero S1, and I'm go...

I'm reading this: http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=37607 It seems that cards are going to be so big, they will be impossible to fit inside the case. Now ATI/AMD is planning to create external versions of R600. I guess it's a box with it's own PSU+FANS+CARD. It will be connected to an ...

So as promised I'm posting my results (3 days after putting the rig together) SUCESS!!! Didn't need to reinstall Windows XP. I just put my new rig to work, P5W DH with Conroe X6800. (Before that I had a Asus P5WD2 Deluxe) I've pre-prepared my board taking out the heatsinks of NB and SB, and putting ...

I've overclocked it a couple of times. And I really didn't notice a variation on the fan speed, at least noise wise. I'm rinning it on a P150 case, with 1 120 Tricool@Low exhaust and a Ninja + Nexus 120 @7v. The PSU is a Seasonic S-12 500 My hard drives are outside the case on an enclosure, which do...

Thanks. Then, so far it has run pretty stable for you without any mods (on the motherboard) right? I don't plan to overclock this new system. I've read a long discussion when some people mention putting 40mm fans on the NB and SB. But I'm a silence freak, so I don't want more fans :-) Anyway the dis...

I have a HIS X1900XTX IceQ 3 and is hands down the most silent ATI of it's class. Answering to the person that says it's not silent. Well of course yours is not silent because you have an IceQ (only version). We are talking here about the version 3 of the ICeQ technology. I've posted about my result...

I haven't tried the 7900 that you mention, though I'm glad that it's quiet. I think everything should move towards silence, and consumers should start avoiding "hairblowers" at all costs. About the water cooler you showed me. I've put my eyes on it before moving to the HIS IceQ 3.
The problem with that water cooling solution, is that I'm not sure if the fan is silent, and also keeps the air inside the case. That's why I moved to the ICeQ3, because it exhausts the air outside the case.

If that's the case I won't be switching to Vista ever. If I'm using a 500W PSU, with a ATI X1900XTX that already eats enough wattage on idle, and then eats much much more wattage on 3D mode (playing games); you can imagine the increase of the electricity bill. With the newer video cards(coming on No...
