antec neoHE 430 revision sticker
after reading that the original neoHE430 units had a lot of problems and that it was all rectified with the versions 3 and thereafter, i opened the side panel of a P150 and looked at the side of the neoHE to see if it is revision 3 or later and what i saw was a sticker which had: A21 beside the seri...

im getting a weird issue with my nSpire firewire enclosure which is for 3.5" drives and has its own power supply. ive had it for a few months but now it randomly shuts off and back on after 20 seconds, randomly and quite frequently. (there is only one light on the enclosure which blinks when transfe...

Just use the << Scythe SCURK1 Universal Retention Kit & Backplate >>. I did and works like a dream. how do you use the scythe universal retention kit with the ninja? do you remove the push pins from that 775 bracket that screws onto the bottom of the ninja? or do u use the socket 478 bracket ...

It uses an Ultra 120 (not the extreme version). Load temps only get to about 50C with an S-Flex at 600RPM, or 60C fanless. Since the fan doesn't add any appreciable amount of noise to the system, I kept it on for peace of mind's sake. I was getting 58C load (Orthos, small FFT, after 1+hour) at 3.2G...

http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/memory/display/core2duo-memory-guide_4.html well i guess it depends for what application cause even from the link you provided; look at the third and fourth bar-graphs (sandra2007 and sciencemark2.0 latency ) show that 533mhz ram (with better timings) performs bette...

Note: you will not need ram rated higher than pc2-5300 ddr2-667mhz for your overclock. Derek i read that its better to use the 533mhz ram with C2D (as opposed to 667mhz) cause it is the same core frequency as the bus speed of the cpu . although maybe that only applies to running it a stock speed (n...

E6420 or E6600
since the intel E6420 has the same amount of cache as the E6600, is it worth the performance difference to buy the E6600? (for a DAW) and what about temperature difference between a E6600 running on stock frequency, VERSUS a E6420 slightly overclocked to same frequency as stock E6600 (which is aroun...

I'm running a TR U120X fanless in an Antec Solo with an E6700 stock just fine. i could be wrong, but, isn't an integrated GPU still separate from the CPU? as in it won't load the CPU? as far as i know, the only thing an integrated GPU shares on the mobo is the RAM. sure. u can have a dedicated GPU but still share the ram (thats pretty much how its done nowadays) but its still...

core2duo series seem to be producing the lowest heat per clock ratio right now and thus i would IMHO go with a setup based on that (even if only because u can run the cpu passive with a ninja/ultra120 etc...) but if going the amd route: which heat sink are u going to use? i dont think u mentioned it...
