Windows 7 RC 1 and higher CPU temps.
Just as topic says did you ppl experience higher temps (both load and idle) since channging from Vista ? I did check everything else, fans are same speed, filters are clean. Have checked with several different programs and I always have 3-5c higher temps in W7. Performance settings are the same too....

High-Performance Mini-ITX test at Xbitlabs
Xbitlabs has a very nice article about Intel DG45FC and Zotac GeForce 9300-ITX WiFi together with E7500. Some really interesting numbers they got there. I am impressed how little power this particular CPU uses vs it's performance. It's as good or better then good ol' days E6600 ! Anyways here's the ...

I can recomend Scythe 120mm S-FLEX 1600 175 kr (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) as a good replacement. Stay away from Scythe 120mm Slip Stream Fan, 1600rpm. I did use SlipStream in one of my own PSU fan swap but it started to make grinding noise just 1 week after swap, took it out and it was broken. Blades h...

Re: Antec SLK3000-B, a quiet mid-range workstation for my mo
When you alter the rpm of case fans, how do you do it? I've only used Zalman fanmates, and I have no idea how to voltmod a fan or anything such. Where would be a good place to read up on that? Nice build :-) Forums are a great place to read up on voltmoding fans. Just do a search with "voltmod" and...

Re: 120mm fan for CPU Heatsink
I am looking for a good 120mm Fan to use on my CPU Heatsink. I want one that is good at keeping things cool but also very quiet indeed. I have read that the Noctua's are not the best in a restricted position so what should i go for? Thanks There is a very good "recomended" section here at SPCR wher...

Yes, but it's still same company with same crappy attitude towards it's customers. At home and at work I have personally had nothing but excellent service from Seagate over the years. I am aware of the firmware issues they are having with other drives, and the poor decision-making by their manageme...

Stay away from Seagate...read more why http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=453338#453338 That issue only relates to a different firmwire on a different generation of a different sized drive. I have heard no issues with the drive the OP was asking about. Yes, but it's still same com...

Re: I.O.U.S.A - Now available as free 30-minute edition
TEXT........ Worse still, our large and growing commitments to social security, medicare, medicade, and the growing interest on the debt threatens to put the country effectively "out of business" in no more than 30 years, if we even make it that far without making significant changes. It's worth a ...

What model # fans? there are some variable speed models- or maybe they got the wrong stickers put on? Model nr is: SY1225SL12M and I doubt that they got wrong sticker on since it's speed was constant at beginning, although little high (1450rpm) since the fans are specced to 1200rpm but deviation at...

Nice to hear that 7200.12 are quiet but since Seagate messed up big time with their firmware I decided to stay away from that brand for at least couple of years. My data is important to me...:-) That's exactly why you should go with Seagate now. After the .11 fiasco, they have checked, double-check...

What high pitched noise? A fan shouldn't make high pitched noise. A working fan with bearings in good working condition should not make a high pitched noise nor vibrate excessively so there we agree . But if you read my first post you will see that high pitched noise showed up in my nexus when thei...

Bought 3 Slipstreams 1200 all 3 broken...?
As my trusted Nexus 120mm fans wore out (got that zzzzzzzz grinding high pitched noise and started to vibrate badly) after almost 2 years of service. So I decided to try something new and choice fell on Slipstream 1200rpm fans. Ordered and after 2 weeks 2 of them got same high pitched noise I had wi...

As long as your temps are fine it's no issue att all. Although my ninja (first version, still going strong) does get warm, but only if I run encoding for an hour or two. And thats with noctua 120mm running at 10v. CPU is [email protected] running at 1.52V.
