My guess is that it has something to do with the fact that this is a 9+ year old thread. Most likely the pic hosting service that was used 9+ years ago is history.

Update: Just had someone ring the doorbell and leave the case at the door. The box looks sealed and unopened. I didn't see who dropped it off. Looking at the address label, the unit # was printed first (two units with the same street address), and I'm wondering if it was delivered to the correspond...

It's really unfortunate but it's so frequently occurring that it's the new norm so users will have to be vigilant when installing anything, which they should be anyway for other reasons. This is exactly correct. You just gotta be real careful, not only when setting up the initial download, but also...

Whatever case solution you go with, please make sure the motherboard is oriented horizontally. That cooler must weigh 10 lbs and looks like it will pull the motherboard apart if it's mounted in the typical vertical configuration.

Re: would a picopsu easily power this quiet i3 setup?

This is just anecdotal, but I'd say the 80W Pico may not be enough. I recently built almost the exact same setup you have (i3-3225, DH77EB, Samsung 830 SSD, 2x120mm fans, 5.25" DVDr) and had PSU issues while load/stress testing the system. When running Prime95 plus ripping a music CD and simultaneou...

Re: 90W laptop adaptor OR Seasonic Bronze PSU for HTPC?

Idle with the SS360 is 16-17W. I also tested some pseudo-load figures by running Prime95 while simultaneously ripping a CD to FLAC using EAC and transferring 52GB of files from one internal drive to another. Both Pico-psu and Seasonic showed almost identical 52-53W loads. The old Seasonic I mentione...

Re: 90W laptop adaptor OR Seasonic Bronze PSU for HTPC?

I'm in the middle of doing that experiment right now. System is an i3-3225 on an Intel DH77EB. Using an 80W Pico-psu + 90W Meanwell AC converter I'm getting 11-12W at idle using 3 waaay undervolted Scythe 120mm fans and a Samsung 256GB 830 SSD. Switching out the Pico-psu for an eight year-old 350W S...

Silly question, but am I understanding this correctly that the front door has to be open for the front fan to work properly? No. Front air is sucked in from the slots on each side of the bezel, and a cut-out on the bottom of the bezel. Slots can easily be seen in this pic: http://www.fractal-design...
