I run a T2300 with a Zalman 3100 in an Asus N4L board in an Antec 3300, one fan front, one fan back, the back fan is the Antec default, the front is... hm, either Silentblade or Antec. It's usually on 24/7 and have no problems. The heatsink clip comes from the original fan as it's rather proprietary...

Another 7600GS card is http://www.xfxforce.com/web/product/lis ... nId=648244 this one also has dual DVI and TV-out and even dual link DVI. Looks similar to the Asus 256MB in the Anandtech roundup just with better connection.

I have a T2300 in this board and the cooler is the venerable Zalman 3100. I have front and back fans in an Antec 3300 but no actual CPU fan. I just checked uptime, up 11 days and it was software that caused me to reboot not CPU heat. You need the clip from the original cooler and trim it a little to...

The new PicoPSUs
At Mini-box.com I saw PicoPSU-120-WI-25V with a 12-25V input and PicoPSU-120-WI-32V with a 12V-32V input. I checked the WI-25V manual and it says 6A over 12V which is more than enough for a mobile on the desktop. And you no longer need to hunt for arcane high ampere 12V bricks, any run of the mill l...

Mobile Semprons are indeed a very good choice for a machine like this. There is very little work for the CPU here. Even if you get a board which does not officially support the mobile Sempron you can still be happy, if the BIOS is 'overclocker friendly' in our case 'underclocker friendly' :) You can...

Mobile Sempron
Grab a 25W TDP S754 Mobile Sempron off eBay, 30-35 bucks. That leaves more than enough dough to buy an AOpen vK8T800a-LF (Google shows me that even with shipping it's less than 60 bucks) which officially supports this chip and has a Via chipset which is way cooler than the nforce and it's also an OK...

this sucks. I would have expected to be able to use 0.8V at worst 1V. If not, then this motherboard is useless for mesimbloke wrote:CPU: 1.35v to 2.0v

Why there are no DMS-59/LFH-60 connectors on MBs?
This so baffles me. They are putting a DVI and a VGA connector on the motherboard when connector real estate is at a premium and one DMS-59 connector could serve two DVI or two VGA with a breakout cable. Anyone knows?

First of all, I can not understand why a low profile card does not use the DMS-59 connector which can be splitted into dual VGA or dual DVI. There are -- as far as I know -- four low profile Nvidia cards that use this connector: the PNY Quadro 280/285 (AGP/PCI-E), they are on Geforce4 MX level (many...

I don't think the Zalman 7000 will work very well with the fan removed. Get a Ninja for complete peace of mind. A Mobile Sempron in such an undervolted eats about 15W max. Probably even less. There will be two 120mm fans around -- one in the Seasonic S12 and one as the system exhaust. I do not thin...

With the internal onboard VGA and the external add-on PCI Express VGA card, you can easily enjoy the benefits of Multi Monitor feature. This is the sentence in the manual that makes me think that external and interal are supported at the same time. http://www.sudhian.com/index.php?/articles/show/70...

dual VGA/DVI, passive, low profile, cheap: For AGP, you want Dell G0170 which is built around an FX5200. For PCI-E, you want EVGA 064-TC-2N24-SX which is built around 6200. The former is available only through eBay, the latter can be found by Googling for it. You can also find NVS Quadro 280/285 whi...

I am pretty sure that this board can support an external video card and internal at the same time. This can be deduced from the manual (it mentions multiple monitor setup w/ the interal video) and from Googling too. Yes, the monitor is not of the wide variety, it's 1600x1200 so it's quite OK. Yes, I...
