ok, I have added a few generic shops recently because a lot of silent gear is becoming mainstream. Re: MSY. I buy all my base parts from here, and they are one of the few companies to stock HIS. When my HIS 9800 Pro (iceq) died (2 weeks out of warranty) they sent it back, and got me a brand new one....

DISCLAIMER: I have not tried this myself ok.. now that is out of the way. The Asus A8N-SLI is Standard ATX size, so it will fit in the Overture. The Drive bay certainly has some electronics. They are Simple, but "appear" to be more than just straight power pass through, so I would suggest that the electronics handles the powerdown notification to the O/S prior to dropping thr power. I could always ask the amnufacturer if you want confirmatio...

Steerpike, With the drive bay, I just turn off the drive bay power, and remove the dirve. When I hit the Drive Bay Power, You here a Plug and Play device removal beep in windows. Steerspike, I have done a *HEAP* of work with Hot Swappable SATA drives, on both AMD and p4 systems... below is a summary of my findings.
