I have 3 HDDs in the bottom cage of a p180. I found without a fan temps would get to the lower 50's on all the drives. I also found that even a slow moving fan would provide enough flow down there to keep the drives cool. I ended up using a Nexus 120mm undervolted to 5v-6v. To me it had no effect on...

Had the exact same problem with my p180. I even sent Antec customer service pics of my cards installed and the gap left. After several conversations they said they would "look into it" if I sent them my case. In the end I used #10 washers to fill the gap. While I like the p180, this is still ...

I have a p180 and probably will get a p180b soon to start another build. While I think the p182 is really nice and the features they've improved upon are great. But from a modding point of view, the p182 takes all the fun out of it. :( If there's anyway possible I would say spring for a dremel. You'...

No you're not Stan. Like you said the average person browsing Best Buy or the like is going to see 512mb! and think wow, this is awesome and only $100!!!! You'll also notice that the card with 512mb is running the memory slower (800mhz) and GDDR2 instead of 1400mhz and GDDR3. Here's a comparison pag...

theyre probably going to phase out the p150 I would guess. still, its pretty dumb to call a p150 a sonata. I have to wonder how things are so fucked up and stupid in the big world of business. Going by the pics it looks like there is enough room past the last set of "ATX" mount holes that it would work. Though I don't have any hands on experience with the Solo/P150. But a few years ago I did have a dual Opteron rig in a Sonata. I used a Tyan Tiger K8W (which is a 10.5" board) with dual 24...

If you're not afraid of using a dremel, you can do some mods along the lines of the p182. Helps tremendously in my opinion as far as routing cables go. http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=29646&highlight= I didn't bother cleaning anything up I did to that case. I'm going to get a p1...

Jeez....There is probably not a single part of a computer system that cannot be improved. This includes the CPU cooling system. TT doesnt get bashed because they make crappy or loud products (even though they do), they get bashed because they dont make original products. What I'm having a hard time understanding is why did they choose to modify the heatsink itself, instead of just coming up with a new bracket for the AM2 socket. Yeah, yeah I know about their "ease of mounting" state of mind. But this isn't some 350g 80mmx80mmx60mm stock heatsink that you can slap on...

So the problem would seem that the push pins are too long? At least on the Ninja. Would there be any way to remove the pins from the stock hsf and try them on the Ninja, or at least compare them? I've seen some pics of Intel's mounting scheme, it looks like a more elaborate style of push pins that y...

I'd prefer a 4-slot HD cage in both the upper and lower chamber. Why on earth do they have a 2-slot cage in the upper chamber? They both take up the same space, but instead Antec's building and installing two separate units- one of which is clearly inferior to the other. I don't get it- it ought to...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see any current generation cpu being a bottleneck for the 8800 cards at resolutions above 1024x768 or 1280x1024. And really if you're getting an 8800 card to run at those resolutions save your money. Now the fastest cpu certainly won't hurt. But too many people h...

Re: Video Card Chipsets (thus FANS) mounted the wrong side?!
I haven't ever noticed hot air being "trapped" under the video card. It reminds me of all the hoopla about how hsf that exhaust out of the back of the case are so much more superior and better for overall temps than ones that don't. In just about all cases/systems I've used, under the video card is ...
