Re: Go kittle!

Hey, don't worry too much, you're getting something out of it, up to number 14 in the producers list! With a 285 going all day, you should be pushing your way into the top 10, though. Not sure how much you'll need to worry about adjusting smp to gpu folding, I usually just crank them both up, and i...

Something else to consider. Since the system is 1yr old, its possible you have some dust buildup. I would snag a can of compressed air, and clean out the gpu fan and the cpu fan (make sure you pull the power plug first). Its also quite possible that your failing (or failed) PSU has taken out other c...

The big issue with 64-bit is drivers for older hardware. older hardware and older programs as well. in xp x64, any 16-bit program just wont work. so all my old DOS games just quit working when I upgraded. The only real problem was an older version of a database I use for development.. the installer...

ok hopefully what you wrote is a typo... but if I understand right, the 12v line on your psu is only providing 3v (THREE volts) ... as opposed to 13v? If so, then it sounds your PSU has some major problems. Which explains a lot of the resets you are seeing. But if you meant that the 12v line is 3v u...

I suspect the PSU / wall socket or your motherboard.

Do you have it plugged into a surge supressor?

Try another PSU.
Try your same PSU in another PC.

next time it crashes, go back into the bios and look at the temps. what are they?

something else to ponder on your UPS setup.. with regards to your 3 monitors, if you can get away with only plugging one of them into the UPS, then you'll have less power draw on the thing. It depends on what your PC is doing.

If its sitting at the windows desktop idle and the CPU is 65c then id say thats "too hot"

On the other hand if your in the 3rd hour of a 4hour CPU / gpu stress test and the temp is 65c then id say thats ok.
