tried to undervolt a nexus 120
Here's how I hooked it up. I plugged the three prong connector from the Nexus into a Fanmate 1 and ran the wire from the fanmate and plugged it into MB case fan 2 plug. When I turned the pot on the fanmate it didn't slow down the nexus. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

low to mid power HTPC
Hello, I have a project idea. I am thinking of basing an HTPC on the nsk2400...a system that I can replicate pretty easily. I am thinking I would like it to be at the minimum power to run windows mce for a good 18 months before an upgrade is needed. I want it be based on silent components. So low to...

swap a super tornado for nsk2400 psu
Is this something I might think of doing since I already have the Tornado 400w? I notice I would have to mount it upside down, and the wiring as it comes out of the Tornado would be on the other side of the PSU. Probably wouldn't matter. Any thoughts on this? The fan would be blowing right into the ...

For what CPU? For a Celeron D 320? Um, the thread title says AMD 754? I normally recommend Biostar Tforce 6100 but: A ) it doesn't take an AGP card B ) you don't want bells and whistles So for plain vanilla mATX S754 board that is stable, just go for whatever Asus they have in stock at your local s...

amd 754 mATX m/b for nsk2400
Hello, I am going to jump over to the 2400. Not as an htpc but just a regular win xp silent rig. Can anyone suggest a m/b? I just want stability. Don't need the latest bells and whistles. I also have my own AGP card. Thanks very much.

discrepency in temps
Hello, In mbm 5 this looks weird. My drive temp is 37c, my cpu temp is 29c but my case temp reads 46c. Does this sound plausible? regards, Mike ps: this is not the sys in my sig. its based on the new AMD Sempron 90m 3000+, an AC ultra cooler, Seagate 160gm ide, a Nexus 120, a coolermaster 80mm, and ...

seasonic super silencer fan mod (removing psu case)
:?: Hello, I have a panaflo and I intend to do this mod. I live in an apartment in the city and don't have a lot of tools. I have a few philips screwdrivers. When I examined the screws holding the case on, I thought it would match up with a small phillips. But none of mine worked. They were on very ...

Hello, I downloaded and ran this program when I was using an xp-120 and it seemed to work fine. I switched to a AC Freezer 7 and now I can't seem to get the program to display a temp for the CPU or Case where it actually says CPU and Case. It is showing up only as sensor 1 sensor 2 and sensor 3....I...

AC Freezer 4 height and Antec SLK3000B
Hello, I have a Freezer on order and it just occured to me that the height of this may interfere with the side panel blow hole on the Antec SLK3000B that I have. The Antec has a plastic cylnder that extends into the case. Anybody using one of these coolers in this case or know if I may have a proble...

Migrate from 160gb drive to smaller drive
Hello, is it possible to clone a 160gb Seagate SATA with one large partition
and one small partion, to an 80gb Samsung IDE? I am thinking of getting Ghost 2003 to do this. I would prefer to use the free Seagate utility Discwizard starter edition. Which is the best way to do it? Thanks.

Mike

Zalman 7000b and alternatives
Hello, I may be misinterpreting the data
but it seemed to me that the Zalman at 5v
was the equal to the xp-90 as far as quiet
cooling and almost to the level of the xp-120.
And this was with the stock fan. Am I missing
anything here? Do a few degrees make a difference?

FG Thanks. Actually my plan was to change out the back fan with a 120 mm Pabst or Evercool Aluminum or Nexus and run it at low speed. Then move the Antec to the front and turn the controller to LOW. I assume I want the air blowing out ovrer the drive area and into the middle of the system. Thanks fo...
