slowing down the drive to 8x or lower (dvd) should eliminate most if not all of the noise.

what do you plan to use the drive with that would create such a terrible noise?

the ninja comes with the fan detached, so you don't have to do anything. It should indeed cool that cpu fanless just fine. the solo is a nice case with damping inside already, it will be very quiet out the box with the components you've chosen. the risk with multiple hd's is they start to vibrate ag...

more interestingly, why would you want to deviate from the recommended list of corsairs and seasonic in that wattage range? would the xigmateks be that much cheaper? on a platform with those components, saving a few pecunia for an important part as a psu seems a bit cheap.

thanks, had a look

closest is one that has the terrible 2 wide line of keys above the cursor keys, instead of the normal 3 wide.

I don't get the obsession with these small keyboards.

custom it seems only from 50pcs onwards.

Looking for a wireless keyboard with specific layout

I'm looking for a wireless keyboard, with the following keyboard layout: http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/7101/600besthotestkeyboardkbkf9.jpg note the position and shape of the Enter and Backspace keys. Scythe has a nice floppy/cardreader combo in black or white, around 27e .

I have the same assignment for an elderly lady, no real budget constraints, so went for a bigass monitor, but further a e7200 and a 1tb drive on a matx, cause it's just a browsing machine really.

encoding xvid (using AGK) the 4850BE on stock 2.5Ghz is slightly slower than the E2160 on a 2.25Ghz OC, which was about the same as the 4200 X2, which took about 66% of the time of the A64 3000. x264 just takes too long on either to really make me care which is faster, I just leave it encoding overn...

you'd have to check the benchmarks to see how much faster that E5200 really is. as a comparison, the E2160 @ 2250MHz (that's oc'd) was about the same speed as the X2 4200 s939 I had when it came to encoding xvid. But other than in encoding I didn't see much change from the A64 3000+ I had before the...

disagree. reusing a psu is both economically and environmentally more responsible.

those picos are +50$, and there may be a 20% diff in efficiency, it will take a couple of years to pay itself back.

no clue.

If using PC-A I put a file from PC-A to PC-B, and then also using PC-B I pull a file from PC-A to PC-B, I get 50MB/s average

As soon as one xfer finishes, it's back to 20-30 MB/s

This is all using shared folders on xp sp3.
