The DVR-111 supports auto bitsetting according to this CD Freaks review (see also Bitsetting for Pioneer DVR-111D). It seems as if the 111-series writers are fundamentally very similar, so it would be strange (though far from implausible) if the DVR-111 lacked this feature.

The Phantom 350 can still be found on the US site but is absent from Antec's 2006 product catalogue (page 14 only shows the Phantom 500). Discontinued, I would think.
