Silent Rapid Storage Technology, not compatible with my pc?
ok here's the situation. Since i have this new PC, i thought i would try installing the "Intel Matrix Storage Manager" drivers for SATA hard disks. But then it didn't want to install, saying my board doesn't meet the requirements. Then i downloaded the latest "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" drivers...

don't get the Green hard disks, they're slower, doesn't constantly spin to 7200rpm, and have this terribly annoying head parkings which supposedly "use less power" but if you ask me, it makes a little annoying noise when not in use, and probably will make the heads break faster. Instead, go for the ...

hmm i decided to try it after a while...and yes it was on the inside part of the card, the pin 7 and 9 are the ones near the main board, not on the most outside part of the sound card. Now i can hear the sound coming from my TV, but i don't have control on the sound volume from my computer, only wit...

2-pins S/PDIF, where to plug it on the sound card?
ok i got my two 2-pins SPDIF cables from eVGA (they were generous enough to provide them to me, since the cables didn't came with my eVGA video cards (Geforce 9600GT and Geforce GTS 250). So i've been wondering...i have a XtremeGamer PCI, and by looking at this picture: http://img4.glowfoto.com/imag...

the WD10EALS i bought seem to have a little...noise. But my guess is this noise must be a normal thing for steady 7200rpm hard disks, and also that every drives are unique in the way that every drives are made differently, they are not 100% built identically, there's always a percentage...like if yo...

as soon as they come up with a "green" 460 with a single 6-pin PCI-E, I'm in. I like the idle power cons, I like the OC potential, size and the general clout the card has. That's why i actually like my eVGA Geforce GTS 250 512mb: Stock cooler is efficient and silent enough for me, it only require 1...

so the IntelliPower technology is responsible for the "park" mode on the Green Power (GP) series? So yes...i'll use that free True Image WD Edition to clone/migrate all my stuff to that new WD10EALS...this park mode feature really annoy me and it seem like i can't turn it off on this WD5000AADD with...

Intelliseek on Green WDs, and Blue WDs series.
Ok my guess on the Intelliseek "park" mode to 8 seconds is because those hard disks are made to be "green" so taking the least power possible with any mean possible. So my guess is when the head park, it take less power...but then not for long because most users are using their HDDs constantly/regul...

Growing Reallocated Sectors on HDD: how can i stop this?
i have a Seagate 500gb HDD which lays there unused because it's self-destructing itself (more and more reallocated sectors when in use...) little by little because someone have hit my external enclosure and it fell down the computer, dammit!! ...so yeah, this one is only used for transfering ...

anyone tried the Acronis True Image WD Edition? it's made especially for WD drives (duh), but i wonder if anyone had good experiences with it? ...as if all go well, i'll migrate my stuff from this 500gb WD5000AADS to this WD10EALS which have a constant 7200rpm instead of the Green series screwing up...

Mike, you should do a test with the Noctua NF-S12B FLX, NF-P12 and a few other silent fans. as a side note, i would like to know...how many months/years my Nexus 120mm (i have the black and white version) fan should be able to remain silent? Megahalems + Noctua NF-S12B FLX?
Anyone tried Noctua NF_S12B FLX on a Prolimatech Megalahems yet?
If my Nexus 120mm fan even get noisy, i would like to know if the cooling is good enough on it with a NF-S12B FLX.

I think i did a really bad mistake here. When ordering my new PC, i should have checked the feedbacks on this RAM kit (OCZ3G1333LV4GK), because a lot of peoples says it makes their computer crash, updates failing and BSODs. Here are the specs of my new PC, normally: Board: Asus P7P55D-E LX CPU: Inte...

i know, i never had problem with my DDR400 ram sticks, only once, but it's the board's fault being capricious on RAMs... the guy from OCZ told me to check my BIOS if the RAMs are set to 9-9-9-20, TRFC 80, and 1.65V. i hope that if it's not set that way, i'll be able to set that easily. Or if i still...
