silly me, of course i run two clients on the HT P4. This means it's more like 2 times 86 PPD, which equals 172PPD. I feel better about the P4 now :)

Thanks for reminding me, david

aargh, another tinker storm :x i have 8 P638, 2 P680 and 2 P678  oh, and 3 gros with 91,91 and 128pts why does a P638 take 9:43min on the P4 2.8 and only 4:37min on the AMD XP 3200+? At least that gives 186PPD! Oh well, another dive in daily production ... until they finish in about 2 days :)...

i have 8 machines folding. One P4 2.6, one P4 2.8 and one P4 3.4 (overclocked). In addition to that a dual Xeon 2.8 (overclocked) and 5 AMD XP 2500+ (some overclocked to XP 3200+). These machines give me around 7000 PPW.

8 machines folding .. call me crazy .. i know :D

I am working three of these, so this bumped by PPD by quite a bit. same here, i have 7 cpu's folding them. one thing i noticed it that a P4 or XEON folds them a lot slower than an AMD XP3200+. i have the same case and i never could get it quiet and cool ... i'm selling it.
Just sticking a P4 2.6 in it was too much. There's not enough airflow because of restricted intakes.

It's a nice looking case tho :)

are you refering to the VIA EPIA M6000? I had one of there and remember how hot the northbride and cpu (passive) heatsink got. I think you need at least some airflow to cool it.

i'm happy with my tagan 480W psu. it powers a dual xeon 2.8 and it's still very quiet. it's a dual fan design with push-pull. The second fan (inside) is not on the underside of the psu, it's on the backside. It would be easy to do a PSU duct with this PSU.
