Its a shame they didnt cut out enough for 2x120mm fans. It would have been good value for the customers.

Re: SilverStone Temjin TJ04-E Evolution Case
What i do not understand is why Silverstone release TJ04-E when they have the TJ08-E. They should have focused on improving the TJ08-E instead. Introduced better HDD cage and made out holes for 2x120mm fans instead of 1x180mm fan as an option as well as change the bad 180mm fan. Cant help but think ...

ANC for headphones is really not that difficult. All the action happen at one point -- at your ears. The mic is positioned almost exactly where the headphone driver/diaphragm is, and it can cancel out the noise the mic picks up coming through the headphone housing. This is why the Bose headphones a...

Re: What happened to the beQuiet! CPU cooler review?
Seems to have been pulled from the page. Would someone care to elaborate why? It was probably pulled to give BeQuiet one last chance. MikeC went overboard by using non stock components like the mounting kit from the megahelem. Didnt matter. A concave base on more then 1 sample for review is just be...

I have ordered the Phobya 180mm LED fan (going to cut of the led part) but it might take 1-2v for me to get it. If you want a review i can report back.crashed wrote:Having been mentioned in this thread, has anyone tried the phobya 180s? It's hard to find any useful info about these.

Re: Some questions regarding the Silverstone TJ-08E
I have 1xScythe Slipstream700rpm@12v on my Noctua NH-U12 for my i5-2500K. 1xScythe GT 1150rpm@600v on my Arctic S1 for my HD6950. 1x180 AP @ 300rpm. First off the 180mm isnt very effective because it has bad noise signature even on 300-400rpm. Problem with the AP is that at higher RPM the bad noise ...

That said which is the best 120mm PWM fan for heatsink for SPCR standards? The 800 rpm Gentle Typhoon looks like a can't lose choice. Just plug it in and run it at a regular 12 volts. It is both quiet... and has good static pressure performance. According to the guy at Scythe-USA that I talked to y...

Thank you for the reply, i decided not to as well. However i realised Noctua fans arent that good and one of them is probably broken. I have had some of them for 4+ years as well so i guess it was bound to happen.geofelt wrote:I did not install an exhaust fan. I found no need to.

I got my TJ08-E and installed it yesterday and even thou the fan is loud even at low it didnt have that growl that your fan had. Contact silverstone and say your fan is broken and have a growl. Ask them for a different version fan as well, if your lucky they will give you the non AP 180mm 700rpm fan...

Re: Noiseblocker NB-eLoop 120mm fans
I was going to buy the Noiseblocker multifram version first but these sure look interesting. I believe Noiseblocker is trying to be a leader in their industry and therefore i do not believe they would release a new product that is inferior to the multiframe fans. I do however se that the new NB-eLoo...

Very nice. If its this small one could even mask the noise by having it behind som kind of shield, like a miniversion of the cubicle shields one sees in office landscapes.

Bought the Samsung 128gb for about 170$ 4-5 months ago and now its available for 100$. I dont think the premium of the ADATA 910 drive is worth it considering its possible to get the ADATA 900 drive for 100$ as well as the Samsung drive. One is paying a premium essentially for the extra 7% space.

For the hard drive cage - is there a good way to brace or reinforce it to reduce rattling? I dont have the case yet but im thinking of putting some thin foam between the bottom harddrive and the harddrive cage. That way vibration from the cage wont go to the case. Not sure if it will work consideri...

Thanks everyone, i decided i will go with the Asus board. Its less of a hassle and i dont plan on changing cpu again the next couple of years and i dont think GPU sockets(PCE-E) will change so baring the board breaks on me it would probably be ok.
Thanks again for your input.

That's a big premium. Fan Xpert 2 is probably as good as it gets right now, but what is that premium compared to? Cheap mobo + separate controller? Yeah it seems that is the only other option. On the Nzxt H2 that i have now there is a fan controller for 3 fans beyond the 2 front fans already connec...

Need advice on z77 mobo, should i go cheap or not?
I am going to migrate to a smaller case (TJ08-E) because i wont ever do SLI/Crossfire anyways. I have some decent parts to make it a quiet system like a fanless seasonic PSU, WD 2TB green drive, Samsung SSD for OS, Noctua NH-U12P etc. Issue is that i will need to control the fans good enough to be a...

Sound wise I have high hopes, as home NAS' shouldn't require desktop-like performance, and hence the drives could be calibrated towards quieter, smoother operation - low ...

I also have the Seasonic X-460 PSU and needed to know what the clearance to the bottom 120mm fan placement would be. Seems only a slim 120mm will fit that way. I have asked Se...
