61C is very hot to try to run an overclocked CPU, but very impressive for a passive design.
I think you should try mounting a big copper heatsink like the Zalman 7000 on the CPU block and the top block

Just to affirm rusty's comment... GPUs are designed with higher temps in mind; just look where they have to be kept. With one thin little slot and a PCI right below it can be problematic and the GPU still has to survive it fine. I stuck a fan on my card (stock AMD heatsink on a Geforce3 Ti200) simpl...

<usual whining about my broken english> My translation sucks and I know it, but I hope it's understandable. Be kind, and Zenthar don't shoot me with your gun. </whining> two questions. 1. Why would I shoot you. 2. Why would anyone trust me with a gun. I injure myself repeatedly with simple things l...

CPUBurn is the best stress program I've used. No cycling like in Prime95 -- it produces a steadier high temp & keeps it there while Prime95 seems to swing up & down a bit. http://www.procooling.com/articles/html/amd_thermal_diode_testing_cali.php There's a comparison of stress tests most of the way...

The only thing I found really effective for cutting down on the whine was an inch of open cell foam. But of course thats not so good for temps... Replacing the drives will be expensive, but its definately worth it, the difference is just amazing. Based on performance I'm guessing the DM9+ I've got n...

My next step in watercooling
I've completed my next step in watercooling; now my CPU, northbridge, hard drive, and MOSFETs are all watercooled. It has had unbeleivable results. 1. My motherboard is now even MORE picky about RAM. I didn't even think that was possible. I'll probably have to buy a new motherboard next month :( 2. ...

Its getting so bad that I actually bought a box of bandaids today. But when I finish off the last 16 pictures on the camera you will all appreciate the fine quality of my work. followup: I didn't think even a miracle would be enough yet here I am checking everything and there's nothing leaking, not even the two connections I ran out of hose for! They are stuffed onto 5/8" barbs without any heating up though so its a very tight fit, and neither is anywhere near the electron...

Well, my hard drive hits 45C in 25C ambient; for it to hit the operating temperatures it would have to be -20C out. And hey, you can always insulate the drive with some damping material if it gets too cold, that should warm it up a few degrees. And you're wrong about the vapor source rusty; I might ...

The other concern I would have is you said the 80mm fan on the PSU is not starting. I am assuming the 92 mm is on the bottom of the PSU, and the 80mm in the back, in which case you could have air blowing into the PSU and out vents back into the case. This clearly would not be desirable if it is occu...
