All they needed to do was lower the Scythe Ninja by ~1cm and it'd fit in most mATX cases. Bundle it with their 10cm fan and the necessary mounting clips and it'd be perfect. Well, almost. :?

I wonder what's the height of this:

Lets hope the VTMS mounting system orients it the right way.

It seems AMD has continued to disable CnQ on processors <1.8GHz.

Do you think the Scythe Ninja / Mine (150mm) will fit in this case? From pictures I've seen on the web, I'm highly doubtful. I really hope it fits though.

The "problem" with Scythe Mine is it stands at 150mm tall, same as the Scythe Ninja. I doubt both will fit in the Coolermaster RC-541. The Asus has a height of 140mm, but it probably costs too much. I may be relegated to using an Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro.

I just checked my sleeved S12-430 and it has the bigger heatsinks. :) Powered it up and the noise signature is pretty bad compared to a sleeve-bearing fan. Is that typical of a ball-bearing fan?

Motherboard layout (CPU socket position) plays a part too. On some boards you would have ~1cm additional clearance. :)

Anyone got a picture of the BIOS Q-Fan feature?

Is the Analog Devices AD1986A inferior to Realtek ALC880 which the MSI K8NGM2-FID uses (I don't need more than 6 channels)? Realtek offers more frequent driver updates, and that is stopping me from convincing myself that ASUS is my better choice.
