Re: New high density 2-and-3 TB Greens from WD

Dear Mike and Co, Would you consider expanding your comparison chart to include laptop hard drives? I'm actually considering that maybe getting a laptop drive would be a good idea for my desktop. Laptop drives can be up to the 2.5" size standard which SSDs typically are, correct? My case actually ha...

Re: Sandy Bridge, Part 2: Intel DH67BL & Asus P8H67-M EVO

Oh, I base that simply on the fact that it's a simpler board. Less power phases, less onboard features. FireWire for one, not sure if there's anything else though. Obviously the difference isn't huge, but if either of the boards consumed less power at idle, my money would be on the Pro. At high loa...

Re: Sandy Bridge, Part 2: Intel DH67BL & Asus P8H67-M EVO

A very useful double review, thank you so very much! I wonder if the Intel board would have a lower load power consumption, had they bothered to cool the VRM. I find the P8H67-M Pro model from Asus more interesting than the EVO with all its VRM excessiveness. It has a more sensible number of power ...

Re: Sandy Bridge, Part 2: Intel DH67BL & Asus P8H67-M EVO

THANK YOU!! This review is so spot-on what I was looking for! Crazy. No one else does a comparison of power efficiency as thoroughly as you guys. However, as someone else mentioned, I also wish you had compared boot times between the two boards. From what I understand, EUFI shortens boot time compar...

Re: Consumer SSD Battle: WD vs. OCZ vs. Intel

Thanks for the review. I believe there's a small error in labeling on the third page. The third graph, "File Copy Performance," has the Kingston drive labeled in black numbers and dark colors instead of using the scheme of light red/light blue/white numbers.

Re: Ooooooh, shiny new forum!

Oh, also I like having visual/physical separation such as a line or a contrast in color between the heading of each post (name of poster and such) and the actual content of the post. The way it's all in just a single pane with a single color right now is not good.

Re: Ooooooh, shiny new forum!

Another vote for the old forum being nicer. Aside from the old look being better, I think the navigation somehow is not as clear or stark as it could be. Maybe it's just a case of getting used to, but the panel at the top somehow doesn't stand out as well or doesn't have enough contrast ... or somet...

Hey everyone, I am set on buying this case. Going to catch it before it goes off market. I can't make up my mind, though, whether to get the one with window or without. But anyway, does this case have an HDD activity LED somewhere?? As far as I can tell it only has the power led and that's it. Thanks

Please suggest me a better, quiet fan for heatsink (60mm)

Hello, all. I'm looking for a 60mm fan for my heatsink. Yes, I did look through the SPCR's Recommended Fans page, but it stops at 80mm. And I do have a small heatsink: Dynatron BH-610 . There are very few choices in socket A heatsinks these days. So, I found this fan , for example. However, it's not...

Yeah, they are complaining about nothing plugged in. It's in the customer reviews for this one if you look on page 6. Someone else earlier said it was giving the wrong voltage... I presume voltage at the outlet. Someone else also said it couldn't measuring a microwave (higher current than the meter ...

How do you recommend monitoring power usage of electronics?

I've heard about this Kill-A-Watt device by P3. But some people who bought it say that it's significantly imprecise or incorrectly calibrated: that it shows up non-zero values with nothing plugged in. Anyone aware if maybe there's another meter like this which is better? Better made, more accurate, ...

Those things should definitely be re-worded or re-organized so that it all makes sense.

Before you do a search in the article index, increase the "Number of articles to list per section:" from the default 20. You could try 200 and you'll probably find what you need. Well, that does seem to work. That doesn't make any sense, though... When I search for seasonic using the default settin...

Why isn't there a section of reviews? How to locate reviews?

I think the organization of content is a bit messed up. Shouldn't there be a section containing all the reviews? Yet, on the top left, where it says "Sections", there is no such section. ?? There's a link called "Article Index" but either that's something different or it's not working correctly. Bec...

Cool, thanks. So I ended up ordering the SeaSonic S12II 380B instead of the 430B. The 380 is also on the recommended list, although it was the earlier, not Bronze certified, version. Do you think I should have gotten the S12II 330 instead? (I'm sure I could exchange my order before it ships.) But th...

It is a theoretical question. I haven't assembled it yet. As to why, it's because I don't really want to spend the money/time/effort buying anything better. I am happy with playing BF1942 and C&C Generals for now, which will obviously work just fine on that. My friend recently gave me that video car...

What will be my power draw during "ordinary" opera

How do I know what the average power draw from my system will be when doing stuff like just browsing online or typing up an essay or something?

My system will be something like:
2500+ Athlon
radeon x800 XL
1 pci sound card
1 DVD burner
1 HD: 1TB sata

that's about it.

Thanks.

Hey everyone, my first post here. I'm really happy that I found this site and your quantitative reviews specifically for noise level of PSUs. Thanks! Anyway, you have the Seasonic M12II-430 listed on your "Recommended" list. I see that Seasonic has released a slightly upgraded version of that: the 4...
