nope, I was referring to the use of zipties on fans with closed corners. How are you going to secure the fans tightly, yet be able to cut the zipties easily when u want to remove the fans? You can still easily cut them loose, as the zip-ties are just soft nylon. Using scissors, I cut the tails flus...

System looks great! Did you switch out the LED's on your rheobus? I'm wanting to change mine out, but haven't found anything that seems like it will work. No, I had the fans running @7v in the pic, hence the blue color. I read somewhere that you can just flip them over to get the blue from 0-7v, in...

Very nice rig! Did you use the stock Antec TriCool fan for any length of time? If so, how does it compare (on the low-speed setting) to the Yate Loon? Yeah, I fired it up for a few minutes just to see how it sounded, it was pretty quiet on the low setting, a little louder, and maybe not quite as sm...

Pics would be nice. The front fan was done the same way?
Yes, I cut out the front grille and lined it with U-channel as well :D

I don't have a pic right now, but can get one tomorrow... batteries in camera need charged. What you basically do is run one zip-tie through the screw hole in the case and through the both holes in the fan, then place the other one on the end of the first one, then pull them tight. I used the stock ...

Nice setup...very similar to mine. What kind of temps are you getting with that setup? Also, did you mount a 90mm fan on the side grill that leads to the CPU? I haven't done any real testing with temps yet, but i'm getting 34C CPU and 31C case idle temps right now, been in the low 80's here the las...

Just Another 3000B (56K Warning!)

Hi, heres my 3000B with a mix of old and new componets. I will be purchasing a new AMD 64 CPU, Mobo, and possibly a new hard drive within the next few months, but for now these will do. :D I'm also looking to suspend my current HD and do a little cable management. I just put this together, so I have...

What do you guys think about the Antec Performance TX640B

I have the old SX635B II version of this case and it's built like a tank. Only downside, is that it only came with 80mm fans. This one has a 120mm rear and holes for an 80mm front fan(there's plenty of room for cutting out a 120mm front fan hole though). Thought some of you guys looking for a solid,...

Are these the same ones you bought? http://www.buysellwizards.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=59&products_id=225 and as for the PCTEK store, aren't the Young Lin the same as the Yate Loon? That is an 80mm fan, dunno if they are Yate Loon's or not, the labels look similar to a Yate Loon though, I...

They are very hard, if not impossible to find in the U.S.(LED or not) I ordered the Black ones from PCTek, but they sent me Young Lin Tech's, I guess their supplier sent them the wrong ones, so they're out of the Yate Loon 120's for the moment. I would have rather had the black ones though, but thes...

Hi, I just recieved my Yate Loon fans today, took about 2 weeks, probably because they had to clear customs, but they did finally arrive :D Anyways, I checked their website yesterday, and they didn't have them listed, so they might be sold out of 'em. I fired one up(@12v) and they run very smooth, w...

Blue LED D12SM-12 Yate Loon's

Hey everybody, I found a source for the D12SM-12 Yate Loon's. They operate out of Canada, but they do ship to the U.S. for around $10 depending on how many you order and where you live. I emailed them and they confirmed that they were indeed Yate Loon's. Here's the link:

After emailing PCTek about this, they finally sent me a response. Here is what they wrote: "The DFS122512M and the D12SM-12 are OEM by the same factory in China. The product is the same. The only difference is the Label. Usually we only carry the Yate Loon version. But for the last shipment from Chi...

I got to looking at this fan a little closer and the 12V current rating says 0.23A on the label but 0.19A on the company's website, so I'm thinking it probably has the wrong label on it or something. as for the RPM, 2500 does seem a little high for 40 CFM, should probably be closer to 1500 or so. Af...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v721/jason_b1980/Picture033.jpg Hi, I'm new to this board, and was looking for the D12SM-12 fans, so I ordered me a couple off the pctekonline website and this is what they sent me. Are these Yate Loons, clones, or did they just send me the wrong ones? They do have...
