Impressive temps. How are they in the summertime?

I appreciate your help, fellow SPCR dwellers, but my question remains mostly unanswered. So I'll rephrase it: Assuming ALL components (CPU, GPU, chipset, HDD) will we properly cooled, how much heat can one 500 rpm SSS throw out of the case? @seemingly.random: the 500 rpm SSS would be the single fan...

I have two 520hx's and don't _anything_ from them. They were purchased a few months after the model introduction. Can't vouch for a more recently manufactured one.

I do know that they're not quite as efficient as the most recent models of antec, corsair, seasonic, etc.

I know that multiple low speed fans do better then one higher speed one, but this is a SINGLE-FAN project, the Holy Grail here at SPCR. Well, if the Zalman TNN300 would still be available, it would be a 0 fans project, but AFAIK it's out of stock everywhere. I already thought of using the 800 rpm S...

I would guess that ff3 hanging problems are flash related. I have occasionally had problems with 80-90% cpu usage in ie7. --- I was disappointed with ff3 with respect to how it looks (renders). I'm pretty sure that the browser hangs that I experience are adobe related. I can't tell if they're mainly the reader or flash. I've been disappointed with the old sflex 800rpm. It spins about 860 (four samples) as an exhaust and ticks. I've had better luck with undervolting the sflex 1600. I don't have experience with either models but do with the abit nf-m2 and biostar ta690g. abit's fan control is much better than biostar's. The manufacturer's online manuals are sometimes helpful.

Linux support is a crapshoot but gets better with time - check phoronix.com.
