The sticky thread Tibors linked also talks about the AC fans, Elixer. There's a 38mm version of the YateLoon, but I don't know of any vendors. Perhaps silencio could fix you up with one. They don't make a slow version though, medium being the slowest, and based on a quick comparison of the manf. spe...

Exactly. SFF particularly could benefit, as well as novel airflow patterns in any ff.Bluefront wrote: I think this setup could make many new case designs possible....working on one right now.

Wow, the UC-12EB undervolts really well! Reminds me of the Titan/Evercools. Hopefully indictive of its sibling UC-12AEBS as well. The coolerguys.com page for the UC-12AEBS mentions something about fan restarting (though they also mention BBing, which apparently it doesn't have lol). Has your experim...

I have one of those magnet thingys that I use to balance my RC aircraft props. Does the trick, but fan balancing a 7blade case fan would get really hairy. Maybe something you would still want to play with if you like tinkering with fans though. You can try the razor-blade type ( Prather example ) or...

Re: Where to buy a Papst 4412FGL (or fan close to it)?
Ah, upgrading your 939 to the 4600+ now that the price cuts have come out, I see? :) I want to get a 4412FGL, since it seems to be the best combination of high air flow and low noise. Are there any other fans with similar specs I should be looking into? Yeah, I would recommend the highest rpm Scythe...

Sure I would be interested. :) Really only interested in a comparison of the extremes: maximum quietness regardless of temps (5v Nexus 92mm or perhaps Scythe LS) and maximum cooling capabiltiy (~2500-2800rpm) of an overvolted, overclocked setup. Asking for a lot I know, so if you back out I won't mi...

Haven't forgotten about your question. I'm just still putting this rig together and overclocking and undervolting is always the last priority on my list. Right now I'm messing with a totally independent, dual XP installations on one harddrive via Grub. Makes me love my VectorLinux more and more lol....

Sorry to hear that. :( Would Silenco_777 be an option for you? USPSGlobal to Canda isn't bad at all really, but I'm sure international shipping jumps way up when shipping across the pond. Can you get the Scythe DF fans in your area? Funny how I used to be so envious of you guys for have cheaper acce...

Heh...well, as long as I was learning stuff, I figured I might as well document it so others could too. That's exactly why I started the 120mm sticky thread, though naturally such a subject is far more volatile as products come and go. Simple electronics are wonderfully consistant (remarkable if we...

I also suggest you test the voltage with real voltmeter and not rely on motherboard readings as those are often off by ~0.1V or more. Yeah, that's what I did. Probably should have specified that was a _hardware_ probe. My error. Yeah, 11.9 is OK. Thought about deleting the thread instead of making ...

S12-430: 12v rail @ 11.84v. Should I get a replacement?
My S12-430 12v rail is at 11.84v and has been since I purchased it a month ago. Should I get a replacement while I can? I only have a few more days before my returnability expires. FYI A solid 12v rail is really importantly to me since I'll be OCing my rig while headphone gaming. Thanks, DrCR ______...

That's a good point. I failed to consider whether nor not you going to be Lan-partying. Yeah, stromgald's right. The Si120 or XP120 are solid choices even now. Actually basically any Thermalright made in recent times (expect the Si128) are solid spcr choices. While I consider the Si97 one of the bes...

Yeah, go for the AM2. CPU wiseI would just get a 3500+. You can always get a currently expensive dualcore later. Or you could get an opty if you're an OCer. As for Memory, if you are going to overclock, I can't recommend SuperTalent T800UX2GC4 more. If not, than Crucial DDR2 667 will do. CPU Heatsin...

When I ordered the VF900 from newegg, I noticed they had a cheap 2krpm Scythe DF, so I went ahead an ordered it too.
