experimented with the rear vents next to the pci-slot area at the back of the solo.

if you block those vents temperatures in the case go up with about 3 to 5 degrees C.

have a look in the general gallery forum a few months back. there you will find a thread about a solo-owner, who mounted 2 100mm in the front of the solo-case.

a 40mm fan directly on the heatsink of the nb would work great. you might also consider a big fan hanging from a zalman bracket over the pci-area of the motherboard blowing air towards it. that worked for me.
