It is a shame in way that Zalman abandoned the TNN just before the low power processors and graphics cards started to appear. Had they waited a little longer and updated their compatible component lists they would probably have sold a lot more units. Trouble is, now that there are so many efficient...

I was able to find a new XFX HD4770-YDFC for my upcoming HTPC rig. This card seems to be the highest performer that still has component video output. I'm interested in the most silent cooling solution for this card in HTPC. I do not game at all, and have a full size case with lots of room. Both my ...

Hmmm, the TX950 has a long story of incompatibilities probably due to minimum load restrictions. It basically only excels in efficiency and power. Surely not the best platform to base your flagship line on... oh common just give them a chance.. Corsair psu's fans can spin up to 2000RPM, but that doe...

Do you already have the S1 on hand? If not, you should really consider getting a TwinTurbo Pro instead. Costs just a bit more, and comes with two excellent PWM fans that you can control via the 5870 fan header. Plus, it's smaller, easier to mount and probably better performing than the S1 with a sin...

It surely is the best and cheapest option. Unfortunately, I don't have anything to salvage them from  Something like this? Can be ordered with only two pins, if needed. It's from an Italian site, tend to get lost in there, hope you find the mating part. https://www.distrelec.it/ishop/Images...

Well, saying it is on par with those marvels is just idiotic, but it's a good performer nonetheless. I recommend everyone not to buy Thermaltake-branded stuff though. By the way, 1900 RPM on a 14cm fan is some truly gargantuan movement of air, not something to market as "quiet innovation"....

Well, if you are planning on using a fan controller, this problem doesn't exist: all of them get their power off a normal 4-pin molex and power each fan on a single header.

What fans are you using, and how fast do they run?
Anyway, good old (and cheap) silicon screws, whatever the brand, are the best choice for decoupling fans to a chassis. With these frames you'll still be using steel screws, which transmit vibrations.

In need of 2-pin headers: where to buy them?

Hello, I need a few pairs of male-female 2-pin fan headers to create some ready-to-use resistors, does anyone know where I can buy them? If you have some and are willing to part with them, please get in touch too. :D
Thanks!

Why would you want to change voltage to a card that uses less than 20 watts at idle?
Anyway, on most lower end 5000-series cards you are limited to BIOS modding to change voltages.

This kind of defeats the purpose of 9/10ths of this case's solutions. I think it will be much better with a large flat heatsink used passively, such as a Noctua C12P, Cogage MST-140 or Scythe Grand Kama Cross. I think this last one will particularly look good in there. Connect the negative of one fan to the positive of the other one, and run both off one fan header. This effectively splits in half the current drawn by each one, so all you have to do to get 4v to each fan is feed the single header powering them with 8v.

I really think you won't find any difference. Your PSU is already among the quietest and most efficient units you can find. The Value 430 is quiet but has worse cabling, is inefficient, ugly and less reliable. The Modu87+ is really good in almost every way (I don't like the "bling") but disgustingly...
