Re: Please check my new Intel G620t HTPC build before I buy
When comparing HDDs with SSDs it's important to remember size. The performance of large-capacity 3.5" 5400rpm drives is decent, the performance of 2.5" 5400rpm drives isn't (in my personal opinion at least).

on the Arch-Linux thread a guy is saying that the stock-spu-fan could satisfie my needs, too....what you think? https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=986807 I think he's wrong, that's what I think. Re: Looking for advice to salvage my Mini-ITX build (CPU/Vid
Well the problem is that the CPU position on these mini-ITX boards varies a little, and with such little clearance between the HSF and the PCI-E it's something of a lottery whether you get the collisions you're seeing. Take a look at the Prolimatech Samuel 17. That's reasonably compact and quite asy...

Yes this is a pain. I have the same combo (DH67CF + AXP140), I got it to fit using a backplate from another heatsink IIRC.

Well I've got hold of one of these and so far I'm pretty impressed. The sound from the cooler is much smoother than the stock cooler. At idle, no, it isn't silent. But it is quiet, and it's much quieter than the stock cooler; quieter even than the stock cooler BIOS modded to a minimum fan speed of 3...

the only psu that comes to mind is the Silverstone Strider Plus ST50F-P 500W. I have one of these. Others may have had better experiences, but mine needed a fan swap to be even remotely tolerable. I did hear that if all Americans ate only what they needed to, there would be enough food left over to feed the starving in the third world. Whether this is true or not I don't know. Intel has been making some noise that 86 applications won't automatically run on the ARM chips even if Windows does. This is relevant how? The Antec ISK-100 is a Mini-ITX case. What main board size do you want to use, Micro ATX or Mini ITX? Mini. Why is it that a micro board is larger than a mini board? I guess there is no precise definition of micro and mini (although you could argue that micro is 10^(-6) ) but to me micro means smal...

The fan is held in place in a plastic assembly which is, in turn, screwed to the side panel. The mounting holes for this assembly are nearly, but just not quite, a match for the spacing of mounting holes to fix a 120mm fan.

Problem is that the evidence contradicts the "gut feel". So people tend to choose to ignore the evidence, and will go to great lengths to come up with reasons why the evidence is wrong, the Google study is flawed, etc.tim851 wrote:This is not a religious topic, where people can just imagine the truthiness.

One of the quietest builds I've managed used this technique - flipped the fan in the PSU to draw air inward and blow down on to the CPU. I have this board (DH57JG). One thing you need to be wary of is what's on the back of the board near the processor socket - there are surface-mount chips there. If you're wanting to use a heatsink that uses a backplate there's a good chance that these components will interfere with it. Better to use...

Somewhere in the menu of the TV you should find a setting that says 'Just Scan', which sets up 1:1 pixel mapping under HDMI or DVI. On my Samsung set this is under Picture Setttings -> Size -> there are a list of aspect ratios eg. 16:9, 4:3 and so on, and at the bottom of the list 'Just Scan'.
