Hi Filete, if you want the sensors, I suggest you have a look at the T-Balancer. Or do absolutely need manual knob type fan controller? T-Balancer, never heard of .... Can you post some link? About if I need manual knob type? Well, since I need a quiet system, and if I need to disable the PSU "Fan ...

Yes. Because automatic controls/components can be either stupid or stupidly implemented. Sometimes, they're smart and wisely implemented, but are still only found on less than recommended components. Hi, So this will mean that you should disable all the mobo features, and connect all the fans to th...

Do you really need a Fan Control?
Hello there, With these components: Sonata Case with TruePower 380w using "Fan Only". K8V SE Deluxe with Cool´n´Quiet and QFan. I just wonder if you need to use a Fan Control hardware, when you have all that features from the mobo/PSU ? Also, if you decided to go in that direction, will this not be ...

I did the Sonata review here at SPCR, as well as the AP damping kit with the Sonata, one with and one without! Yes, i´ve read your review, and my idea was that you liked the Sonata! :D Anyway, I think we are going far from what was the purpose of this post, that is if AcousticPack will help to make...

Re: AcoustiPack™, will it make any difference??
Your bigger problem is the Sonata. If you want a really quiet system, that is NOT the best place to start. It is a mediocre case in stock form for many reasons cited all over these forums and in the review itself. You will have to swap the PSu for sure, and improve the airflow through the front bez...

AcoustiPack™, will it make any difference??
Hello there, Just got a Antec Sonata to build a DAW system, for a professional recording studio. I want to build as quiet as possible, and after some search I found the " AcoustiPack™ Pre-cut Kit for the Antec Sonata ", from Acousti: http://www.acoustiproducts.com/en/acoustipack_precut.asp#APAntecSo...

I have my Zalman 7000 AlCu connected to a fanmate with the lowest voltage. The fanmate is connected to the motherboard power header. Cool 'n' Quiet will not have an effect on speed of the Zalman fan because the fan is not thermally controlled. So, what your are saying is just use the Fan mate on lo...

Cool ´n´Quiet, use or not use??!
Hi! I am building a new system with Antec Sonata case, with True Power 380W, Asus K8V SE Deluxe motherboard, and Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu with Fan mate. I would like some advise about these options: 1- Should I connect the Zalman direct to motherboard and use the Cool ´n´Quiet feature, or connect first t...

Re: Will Zalman break/bend the k8v se deluxe
At no charge Zalman customer support sent me 10mm niples that worked perfectly. The installation was very easy and the cooler is completely secure. :D :D Thanks for the tip! I´ve just contact Zalman support to ask if they can mail me the 10 mm nipples too. I am waiting for their answer! But can´t y...

Just be sure to not to tighten it more than it would be if you had used zalmans backplate. http://filete.net/7000_sideview.jpg I supposed as long as you tighten them until you get the metal brackets make a 90º angle relate to the center of the heatsink, that will be ok, no? But do you use the golde...

As for the stock back plate, when I built a system for a few friends of mine, I kept the stock one and re-used the orignal screws, and tightened it to the same tightness as it would have been with zalmans by comparing the hieght of the standoffs to the position of the bracket. Hi, You mean using th...

Well, I already order the Sonata case, and I decided after various months of reading and talk to other sound engineers that use this case on their studio. About the model you talk about, if you check the Antec website: Most people expect to pay more for a quiet computer. But we believe you shouldn't...

I'm a recent convert to Nexus - that fan at 5 volts is silent, and gives the HD's the little airflow that they need. Hi What specific model are you talking about? And aren´t Nexus fans the ones that are very hard to mount? I saw your other post about it! http://forums.silentpcreview.com/viewtopic.p...

But before you go and buy some, be sure to see what MikeC has to say about Paxmate (the part on Paxmate is halfway down that page) Yes, I decided not to go that way! I have checked AcoustiPack™ Pre-cut Kit for the Antec Sonata here: http://www.acoustiproducts.com/en/acoustipack_precut.asp#AP...
