Nice find Hueycobra, in my area Galaxy cards are pretty popular since they have relatively lower price compared to Big names and some already use zalman solution (&AC silencer for Glacier) I haven't had any experience with Galaxy before (mainly Gainward and MSI) but I'm certainly impressed with the...

So out of the Asus, Gigabyte, and Galaxy designs, who do youse think has the better design? I like the Gigabyte the most, the two-slot design looks solid and I can't imagine it will have any clearance problems (except for taking two slots of course). The Gigabyte design is very practical and tidy, ...

Found this Asus passive 7600gt product page via HueyCobra's link. Thanks for posting that link, Goldmember. I was hoping the 7600GT HS would be similar to that of the EAX1600XT-SLN, as I have many reservations about the arm. It's an inelegant solution to say the least. I'm game to try the Gigabyte ...

René Dupéré's Alegría soundtrack (which I'm also tempted to call Francesca Gagnon's Alegría soundtrack ).

How successful is the Silent Pipe II on the 6600GT? I believe the 7600GT draws more power than the 6600GT. From what I recall, most reviews were generally satisfied with the Silent-Pipe II's cooling performance. Of course their results varied but temps were generally safe, and I think I only read o...

On the Web site of Gigabyte, there is no information about clock speeds, but it does state: Supports PCI Express and 12 pipelines Clock speeds appear rarely (if ever) on the Gigabyte website, so it's safe to assume that their cards are at reference stock. They're probably sensible enough to note an...

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't see it on this page, should have been looking here instead.atha wrote:Gigabyte has this kind of passive 7600 GT coming, but I haven't seen it yet in stores.

the XFX 7600GS XT in SLI actually performs better(in 3DM06) than a 7900GT according to this review : That looks really promising. I hope more partners come out with overclocked and/or improved heatsink GSs. And I'm still hoping that we'll see a factory passive 7600GT (probably ASUS or Gigabyte), bu...

It looks like an underfed version of the Titan (Atlas was a Titan I believe), with four HDD slots instead of six, three 5.25" bays instead of four (with another one convertible to 3.5"), no door and less back-to-front depth. I'm not sure I grasp how it's a server case with those characteristics. Do...

Re: vga card died... need new efficient one: 9600, 6600, or
i don't follow the vga card market as closely as i do the cpu market, so i am thoroughly confused by all the numbers and suffixes (GT, GTX, LE etc). I was exactly the same a couple of months ago - not only had to learn about the 6 and 7 series, but had to learn the ATi range from scratch (still not...

asus extreme ax1600xt i guess. slower than the 6600gt in most games, so not that great performance wise. While the X1600XT's performance is spotty, most reviews I've seen have it on par with the 6600GT (and considerably better than with newer games like Battlefield 2, F.E.A.R. and X3). Where it fal...
