Is that yellow line some sort of airflow partition? If so, I'd remove it entirely. All it's doing is severely restricting airflow to the top fan. Instead, move the top green partition to the top right corner of the CPU heatsink, so the "duct" is ducting CPU exhaust to both the rear and top fans. Th...

another crazy idea INPUT is welcome

here we go again :) my last idea , while technically a sucess, did not yield a satifying result for me at least so this time I'm moving up to a NINJA for number of reasons -easier to duct -better performance http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/9527/idea7zc.jpg I can't really show it in the picture, b...

I guess the screws are the cuprit, though I never really had a problem with my Zalman on s478

could be how the metal "bends" or the "effect where the outermost part of the cooler is pulling down (depends more or the clip orientation , vertical/horizontal?)

last time I checked the VM-102 is a little hard to find in the US (if you are in the US) I have an VM-101 on my 9800 pro 128 works fine, though you do need something blowing on it otherwise it WILL get hot! I currently have mine inverted and it works fine http://img467.imageshack.us/img467/4326/pict...

heh...that's what you get for buying refurb

joking aside
have you tried running on a bare minumum-CPU, MB, RAM?

your chances of a RMA is very low considering you've voided the warranty by opening it...

some ppl have used hot glue to cure this, search around SPCR

hope it helps

I'd say, since you have a lot of free space up front

perhaps put a bare PSU (so heatsinks exposed) say vertical so it is convection cooled

the only expense I can think of is a higher idle temp

the Vacuum hoses look sexy

nice build overall

I dunno, while adding a exhuast fan would help temps it also is more noise besides I don't have anymore quiet 120 fans :) I made some slight changes to my setup 1)the CPU fan or Amber fan is suspended because it was creating a unbearable noise when clamped in with the XP90's wire clips, so it now is...
