In Australia, Glacialtech Silentblade 120 mm fans are similar in noise characteristics to the 120 mm Nexus, but cost only $9 AUD!

Isn't a Scythe Ninja a better HSF than the Zalman 9500 (when the fans are the same speed), so would be better for a quiet system?

How do you think a Seasonic S12 500/600W PSU would stack up against a 500/500W NeoHe?

Slightly confused so far. Looked on websites, the NV 5.3 is rated at .9 sones while the ATI 5.2 is rated at .5 sones. Both fans look identical, with same speed (2000 RPM I think). Maybe AC's just being more honest now?

Is this true for DVDRW drives (thinking BenQ here) as well as CDRW drives?

Yeah, I know of the generalisation, but I know from experience that some optical drives are much noisier than others. My NEC 3520A is much louder than my old LG CDRW drive, and so on.

If anyone has had experiences with recent optical drives, and how loud/quiet they are, I'd like to hear.
