Well personally i haven't tried any intel cpu on nvidia chipset yet but i've tried am2 on nvidia and they've got some cool features. Like the nvidia ide drivers that let you hotswap sata without all the AHCI nightmare. I never got my intel platform to do the AHCI, mainly because i didn't try harder ...

Simple solution. Use intel chipsets with intel CPUs. From what i understand, power regulation has nothing to do with the chipset (or the cpu in itself for that matter). It's up to the board maker to certify their board to be compatible with whatever cpu. But i don't like the fact that AMD has to be...

Well, my point is they might possibly have made it even better but they are not, because Atom and Core would be clashing against one another. Now the pricing might make it seem like a smooth transition between the top of Atom to the bottom of Core, but look at the production cost estimated at Tom's ...

Now intel is so large that it's competing against itself. In turn, it can't allow Atom to become too powerful that it would eat out the Core market, or make the Core too efficient that it would eat the Atom market.

EDIT: Just put more research into it and that wont work with a TV, only specific proprietary projectors. The signals aren't the same.

help with mini ninja AM2 clips

I'm trying to clip my mini ninja to an Asus M2NPV-VM inside an NSK2400. The method i use to hook it up is to hook one side and then lever the second side in. At the first knotch (defaut) the clips are way too far from the hook of the bracket. I've tried getting in in, with significant force, but i d...

I've seen that the nsk1480 is slightly taller than the minuet, but does that mean that it's internally taller? I'm just about to sell the zipang at a loss but would keep it if...

To Xan: you mentioned a finned aluminum tank. I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing! I wish I knew how to weld. Well, why would anyone want to have a top down heatsink fan in this case? It'll be sucking against the wall. There are two sidefans, i think i'd just use the full 90mm for the heatsink and let the sidefan pull. The Scythe Zipang is 85mm for just the heatsink, hope it'd fit.

Well, the via board can be relatively feature rich. Then, if you take a mini-itx board for intel or amd, then you add the cpu, then you add the low profile heatsink, the via system will come back cheaper. Jetway is another board manufacturer that makes via platform mini-itx that are priced lower tha...

The 3Dmark results for hybrid crossfire is really wierd indeed. Tom's hardware benched with an older version of catalyst and got some good results.

I've seen this at a canadian etailer and it didn't have hdmi, i don't know about hdcp, since dvi and hdmi are pin compatible, maybe hdcp is carried through hdmi anyways, so a simple dvi to hdmi cable could do the job. It's also about 10$ cheaper than the gigabyte board.
