Not trying to be rude, but if you want people to read your post, paragraphs really really make things easier.

You might want to go directly to a passively cooled NUC. Anything with fans will eventually gunk up with dust, unless you meticulously clean the filters (which you don't seem to want to do).

edit: that said, they won't do 3TB or 16GB RAM, but 2TB (2.5" drive) and 8GB of RAM for sure.

A 3.5" SSHD is a bit of a weird use case. I have the feeling that if a 3.5" drive fits, you can very likely fit a pure SSD for the OS and programs as well.

As for the Samsung drive, I was hoping that a small drive will finally beat the WD20EARS. Shame ...
