At the moment, the 1070 Ti seems to benchmark very closely to (if not slightly better than in some cases) the 1080. At MSRP prices, the 1070 Ti is the better deal, but with volatile GPU prices at the moment, things may be different.

Only considering cooling performance, an intake and exhaust fan (2 fans) is the minimum recommendation and the best bang-for-buck. As more fans are added, there are diminishing returns. Although, 3-4 fans may help if you're going for more fans and slower fan speeds.

I think a CPU Cooler with a fan at the slowest speed, all things considered, is better than no fan at all.

Numerous builds with fans have still been deemed silent by SPCR's standards.

If it's working fine, then keep using it. If not, then Keep your power supply and Sell your other parts. A 10 year old PC is really pushing it. At some point, you'd be spending more upgrading it than it's worth.

Your CPU, RAM, Cooler, Case and Storage are ideal choices.

A 370 motherboard may be excessive for a recording studio. A 350 is probably plenty.

3GB 1060 is a good choice for price to performance. My Asus version of the fan has software that can put it to Silent Mode.

Ryzen 7 1700 is your best bet.

Any SSD from a reliable company (Samsung, Hynix, Kingston, Intel, Crucial, etc) is fine.

You should try out 16 GB RAM and see how it works before spending $150 more on 32 GB.
