Since you obviously don't have enough airflow, maybe a duct would work, but the fan is offset from the HS. So, you either need another 120mm fan, or: an 80mm fan could fit under the HS, to provide some airflow. I just tried it, and it doesn't fit unless I reshape the support things, but the HS needs...

I'd hate to spoil a new motherboard chipset by using crummy isopropyl alcohol.
Why, what's wrong with it? It makes my chips very shiny! No residue. :D

(I bought a liter two years ago, it'll last for a looooong time!)

Wait until July to check, Intel prices will drop very much, and maybe the new AMDs will be out (not), but why Crossfire? Do you want heat and high power consumption with minimal benefits?

I hope you find out what it was, and if you do, please post. Cheers!

Wow, you're fast!

If it's not seated properly, and your system only resets under load, the HSF will be cool(ish).

I said, just guessing!

I don't think that reporting is the culprit.

Is there any chance that the HSF is not properly mounted? Are you using the stock Intel HSF?

Another possibility is that the NB is overheating, or the board doesn't have enough juice for this CPU, being 865G.

Just guessing here! :D

Assuming you don't grind your junk to bits screwing it up :) I did destroy some 2nd gear synchromesh, in more than 1 car, but it wasn't by using no clutch. It was either by downshifting in high revs, then releasing clutch to start a drift (in RWD), or by shifting too fast from 1st to 2nd. Som...

I have a P5B-E, E6400 OCed, 7950GT, 5 HDDs, 2 DVDs, 2 fans, 2 other PCI cards in my P180. My NeoHE 430 is first generation, and I had no problems with this, or the previous 2 systems it was running.

What problems are you getting? The system doesn't start? If not, did you read this?

waaay off-topic,but how does one change gear w/o a clutch?
Move shift to neutral, rev up and, as revs start decreasing, gently push stick in next gear. It will get in at some point. We used to train doing this when I was young. And in some cars (usually Japanese), it's really fast.

Will S3 PCI GPU work as second card for 3rd monitor in XP?

I found an S3 Trio64V2/DX in one of the old PCs I keep in the garage. I have a 7600GT connected to two monitors, and it would be nice to use a third one without getting another board (I do have another PCI-E N6600 though). Will it work?

I have a Thermalright SI-120 with a Nexus @850-900rpm.

It's been in three systems so far.

They're all in a P180 with a Nexus @850rpm, with 5 HDDs inside + 2 external, next to an Epson front projector. So, I just need it to be quiet.

No, not necessarily, just my luck, and Asus boards. This incompatibility has been fixed on the next generation of both boards and PSUs.
