well I already have a Segate hard drive I'm going to use, so I cant buy a new one. I guess I can replace the 80mm fan with an Arctic Cooling one I already have here (it's very quiet) Are you talking about this VGA cooler? So this would work with the 6800? Isn't the TJ06 a better case? I really like ...

Good idea! I've been thinking about doing the same, but couldn't find the appropriate heatsink. (I have an Alpha PAL15 1U which is too big) What you can do is drill and tap the Alpha so you can use screws. I've done it before with the PAL15 for video cards. You can pick up a 4-40 drill and tap pack...

My First SILENT PC!!
I'm building a system and I've made my choices about ordering these after alot of research (unless someone has something better). New, slightly revised list... - MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum - Heatsink for Northbridge (either zalman or alpha, whichever fits) - AMD 64 3000+ 939pin - Zalman CNPS7000B-CU HSF ...

Replace MSI K8N Neo2 - Northbridge fan with this heatsink??
I'm not sure if I want to buy the MSI because of the loud NB fan. I was just going to buy the Asus, which comes with passive cooling, but I ran across this. People say the Zalman heatsink fits on the Neo2, unless you have an Arctic Cooling NV5, in which case the Zalman is too tall. So I came across ...

well actually, I was thinking....Would this be much quieter than the other things I chose? I was thinking about getting the Silverstone TJ06, and just putting on those fans. If I were to go with the $190 watercooling set up, my case would have to be under $60. (I need it to be $300 for case/psu/fans...

watercooling set up - price
Hi, I'm looking to build a quiet PC and I've been looking at quiet cases/fans, etc. And now i'm wondering if it would be quieter to go the watercooling direction. Basically, I need a case (I can separately add seasonic PSU and Globe 120mm fans), with water cooling system for my AMD 64 3000+ 939pin, ...

ooh arctic cooling... i have an AC hsf for my intel comp right now, and i have to say it is very quiet. I just keep it on the low settings and it's a few degrees cooler than the retial hsf. But I just read in the review that the AMD version is not compatible with the Asus A8V, which I'm probably goi...

ah so you bought the Asus too? I think i'll probably go with the asus since I'm not a hardcore overclocker, i like the no fan thing, and I also heard of many problems with the MSI. how about this.. http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=240412-251833 it's $140. How do i know if ...

hmm...is the NForce3 much better than the K8T800? in what ways... I'm getting a S939 3000+ soon, and I was going to go witih the Asus A8V-Deluxe, which is nearly the same price as the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum with the Nforce3. Would the MSI be the better choice? Also, how loud can the northbridge fan b...

XP-120 , XP-90, or Zalman 7000B-cu??
I'm building a new system with socket 939 AMD 64 3000+ and I want the quietest solution. SO basically I have 3 choices with my budget. 1. XP-120 w/ 120mm Globe fan 2. XP-120 w/ 92mm Nexus Silent Fan 3. Zalman 7000B-cu The zalman would be $20 cheaper since I wouldnt have to buy an extra fan. Which of...

Quietest 6800NU cooler
What is the quietest VGA cooler for the 6800? I first thought it was the Arctic Cooling VGA silencer, but I heard that it was not very quiet on this forum. Is it really that loud, because I'm trying to build a very quiet PC right now. I've also seen some fanless coolers from Zalman and Thermaltake. ...

Please help me choose a PSU
Hi, I'm new to this quiet PC thing, but I'm trying to build a quiet computer... Well for the PSU, I think 350watts would be enough for my system. Is the Forton FSP350-60PN-R1 a quiet PSU? I heard that the Nexus and Seasonic were also quiet, are they that much quieter, because they're twice the price...

Quietest AMD 64 939pin HSF
What is the quietest HSF for 939pin? I've heard it was the Zalman
CNPS7000B-Cu . Is this pretty much the quietest I can get, or is there a better, quieter, and preferably cheaper HSF for the 939pin?
Thanks
