best atx case with cnps7000a under $100?

I'm looking for the best, or recommended cases that can easily fit the CNPS7000A heatsink for under $100. I was thinking about the evercase 4252, but apparently it doesn't work with most motherboards using the CNPS7000A heatsink?

Thanks

Um, there's a big table right there on the main page labeled "Currently supported mainboards"
Yeah, but I kind of assumed that was only for the Windows version? Not cpufreq-nforce2?

Is there an equivalent to 8rdavcore for linux? If so, what motherboards are supported?

Re: Finally silence...(happy newbie)

At the time that I bought my computer the computerstore assured me that the noise level was "quite competitive". that's a funny way to put it. competitive for your attention/frustration? I thought it's rather genius, in terms of marketing/sales anyway. I mean, what else could it be? "incredib...

A well flowing directed airflow case often performs better with the covers on. The case itself acts as a duct. If I were to guess though, those 12cm fans you're using push quite a bit of air, and aren't exactly silent. Most enthusiasts here run their fans at half speed, and the pressure of their fan...

Best ATX case, appearances aside?

I've always assumed based on the recommendations in this site, the best ATX case excluding appearance for a quiet pc is the Evercase 4252. I'm considering other cases since the CNPS7000A has trouble fitting in that case with most decent motherboards. I'm curious what people think is the best ATX cas...

Re: evercase 4252 users: how much clearance space is there?

I use an Abit KV7 (KT600) which has great BIOS options but no PCI/AGP lock. The other issue I found with the mobo case combination is that interference with the CNPS7000A prevents installation of a 38mm thick 120mm fan, like the Panaflo L1A, as an exhaust fan internally. The mobo and fan power conn...

Can you polish a heatsink properly with a rotary tool? someone mentioned 10C improvements after polishing a heatsink with a dremel. Personally I believe it was partially reseating and possibly dust-cleaning. But considering it's 10C, I don't think it made things any worse and likely better in some ...

Dremel (Rotary) Tool Recommendation?

Has anyone used one? What kind of tool should I get? Does brand matter that much if you don't plan on using it very often? Would a cordless tool cut metal just fine? What RPM speeds will I need? What difference does it make mostly? To polish a heatsink, what speed would I need? How would this tool d...

Unfortunately I already have a Zalman. The one thing I'm starting to regret with this Zalman, which I spent $50 + 15% tax (Canadian) on, is the size of this thing. Not very compatible with a lot of motherboards and cases :(

try running memtest86. 40-41C should be fine assuming those are accurate readings. Unless you're overclocking, there shouldn't be any stability problems under 55C.

Re: variated fan speed

Well, most of Asus' boards have Q-fan, so most of them would apply to this list. Asus boards have poor undervolting capabilities though, except their older boards. That's a matter of perspective, I guess. What all the newer boards offer are ranges from about 7 or 8 volts, up to 12 volts. Interestin...

If 36C is your processor temp and not your case temperature, it's very fine. Assuming your processor isn't defected or something, anyway. The best way to test the stability of your processor outside of windows is to leave it running memtest86, http://www.memtest86.com

Re: variated fan speed

So my ultimate advice would be to find the chips(i.e. winbond etc.), with the best monitoring and fan control capability, then find out which boards have them, and lastly check if the board lets you utilize its capabilities. Yeah, basically I think the board has to utilitize the features of the win...

I read AOpen boards all have problems when you use all three ram slots. While I probably won't, I don't exactly like the idea of getting a buggy board. evercase 4252 users: how much clearance space is there?

How much space is there between the top of the motherboard to the psu, approximately? I'm trying to decide what motherboard to use in the case with a cnps7000a. Will any motherboards have a problem?
