Here are a couple of budget options that are low cost and would work well with low power amd chips provided you don't overclock.

first is alpine 64.

second is Scythe Samurai Z Rev B

I have both and the 92mm fans will spin at about half speed unless you are big over clocker.

antec ew 380 psu and fan swap

is this a psu that would improve if one could drop a low or med speed panaflo? my system is very low power so it is doubtful the controller would ramp the fan. In the review it was stated that the noise was a low hum. Was that fan related?

thanks

Anybody know if this combo will boot into vista with the current shipping bios? gigabyte says only the f3 bios supports this chip and that bios was released in March. I don't have a floppy and would like to avoid flashing. thanks!

i replaced the fan with a panaflo L1a with a two wire connector. It worked great for a low power system. Others use a M1a which spins slightly faster.

I don't think they made the case at all. They did make the case for 600w and 700w PSUs. Don't forget that these systems are rarities at that. btw Vista has very good power management tools if you use them. Its very easy to put your computer to sleep and dramatically reduce power consumption, but sti...

Hi, I had the top cover off my case for a number of months. Now when I have gone back to this case and tried to close the top cover. Solo - how many brackets in the box?

I think I only received 3 or those 5 1/4" brackets to mount in the upper slots. After mounting the DVD drive, I only have one left. They were in that holder on the floor of the Solo. How many are supposed to be included with th solo? thanks
