Well that plain stinks :( I was looking forward to getting my 3800+ even lower. Trouble is, there is no X2 mobile alternative, so why are AMD imposing these limits? The reason I thought it a BIOS problem is that I also can't overvolt any higher than 1.35volts, and I've read of plenty of people going...

Undervolting Experiences with Athlon64 X2
Hi there guys, I have an almost totally silent system with an undervolted Athlon64 X2 3800+ processor. However, my Asus A8N-SLI Premium motherboard has a bug in the BIOS which prevents you from using a vcore of lower than 1.1volts. I've contacted Asus about it, and I hope they release a new BIOS soo...

I use a Silverstone with a 120mm Nexus at about 5v (bottom setting of a Fanmate) in a P180 with no drives in the tunnel. For all practical purposes it's silent, and it works without problems. My setup is the same as this, minus the fan in the lower chamber. The Silverstone does get quite hot, but i...

Got a good idea for you... When you get your 9800 back, take the Nexus fan you have at the back out and put it on top of your graphics card, with the air blowing up towards your CPU heatsink. Also, unblock the top hole so that the hot air can blow out. Then you can get rid of all the other case fans...

Thanks, and yes, that's the only fan in the system. My old Maxtor hard disk gets blazing hot (currently at 62º but it has run at this sort of temperature for over a year now without problems) but the Samsung is much much cooler (47º) and I'm hoping to replace the Maxtor with another Samsung soon. Bo...

Powerful System in a Antec P180
Here is my very recently built almost silent system http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v420/mrochester/P8150022.jpg The specifications are: Athlon64 X2 3800+ Asus A8N-SLI Premium Radeon X800XL 1 GIG RAM. btw I know SPCR have links with EndPCNoise in the US and FrontierPC in Canada, I reckon we'd all benefit from an agreement between Skippy and MikeC... Like getting an SPCR edition Antec P180 in the UK! I think KustomPC tried to set it up but didn't think they could shift enough to make any money. W...

Scythe NCU-2000 and Ninja
I currently have a Scythe NCU-2000 heatsink on my processor, and I'm trying to find out how much better or worse the Ninja is. I'm suprised SPCR didn't compare them within the review of the Ninja, so does anyone have any idea how they compare?
