What about adding a small heatercore to your front air intake of your case and letting the powersupply pull the air through?
I guess it might require a better pump, but even w/o an attached fan, your temps should go down.
Just thinking out loud.

from experience i can tell you that the evercool fans will be too noisy, even at 5v. when you're pulling air through a radiator you have a lot of turbulence noise which just adds to the problem, a low speed fan is perfectly adequate. after trying the evercool, the papst 4412fgml and papst 4412fgl i...

Why aluminum over plastic? I mean... I don't understand it. Whats the advantage of aluminum? It looks better? Are the plastic evercools in general more quiet or less quiet? I don't care how it looks, I care how silent it is. And no.. I'm not running them at 12v... only at 5v is what I am planning. ...

Go for this one:

The aluminum one is louder (at least at 12V).

The DD (DangerDen) pump is not recommended. Either go for a Swifttech MCP600 ($80 USD) or an IWAKI MD-20RZT ($150 I think and the best of the best for watercooling) IWAKI: MD, Jap motors, quieter and overall superior to the USA made WMD type T, threaded Z, the high pressure version, do not go for th...

The heatercore will just support six nonoverlapping 80mm fans, so I may go for 80mm fans instead. I plan to use a fan controller, but I can't use a 0V-12V as my family will be using this rig, and I don't want the system fried. I'm still looking for a 5V-12V fan controller. As for setup2, I may...

Suggestion for a powerful/silent selectable WC rig? -updated
Edited post. I'm thinking about getting three or five Evercool 120mm fans for my future watercooled rig do to their good stock specs: 79.14CFM, <30 dBA @ 12V. Basically I want to have my cake and eat it too as I want a killer overclocker setup and silence too on demand. I'd like to hook these up to ...
