For the rear fan you might want to try suspending it so that it's isolated from the case. It's easy to do in the Antec Solo as you have that PSU support bar to hang them from. Is the power supply stood directly on top of the case? A block of foam between it and the case might be worth trying to see ...

Re: My "Perfect" Solo :)

It's looking good. :)

What vcore have you got the CPU at?

Did you notice much of a difference in temperatures taking the PSU out of the case?

What have you mounted the rear fan with? Is it elastic?

Only if there's no graphics card fitted though. :(

You could maybe have it pointing upwards and use a large server case, or even a ATX case with the PSU removed perhaps? :)

If you scroll down the product page a bit there are some pics of one fitted onto a motherboard. The problem with that cooler appears to be that the vanes don't line up with a typical ATX case exhaust fan. With this new "Orochi" the solid side of the metal vanes are facing the exhaust fan, unlike a S...

It could easily be your memory timings causing instability. If the memory is having problems with its timings that will cause it to fail any stress tests, even if you increase the CPU vcore to very high levels. You may need to increase the memory voltage and/or lower the memory speeds whilst relaxin...

Has anyone tried using RMClock to see if it recognises throttling with a Wolfdale? The official RMClock 2.30.1 doesn't work with my E8500 processor. It can't identify the CPU and doesn't display any voltages or core temperatures. The more recent RMClock 2.35 (beta 3) appears to work with it though....

There's an interesting post about Wolfdale temperatures by unclewebb in this Xtremesystem.com thread:

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/sho ... 99&page=51

Measured with an infra red thermometer the temperatures for his E8400 CPU were 10-15c lower than what is reported by Coretemp.

The HR-03GT fits onto a G92 8800GTS card. :)

Compatibility list:

It might work with no fan fitted, but you'll probably find it needs a fan if there isn't a lot of case airflow.

It says 1.225v on the retail packaging. :)

It varies between chips but that seems to be what the default BIOS setting ought to be. :)

The only difference between the original Accelero S1 and the new Accelero S1 rev 2 looks to be additional mounting holes to fit it on some older cards such as the ATI HD2600 and ATI HD2400.

What's your room temperature at the moment?

Have you removed the PCI blanking plates beneath the card?

If you haven't already done that it could help stop a hot spot building up beneath the card and reduce temperatures a bit. :)

If you're not overclocking, and the motherboard is stable in use, then you probably don't need an aftermarket heatsink. From that A8V-E SE pic you look to have the same pushpin holes where a heatsink would fit on the A8V-E Deluxe. Measuring the distance between them should give you an indication of ...

You can check if a Thermalright HR-09 will fit by measuring the existing heatsink. You need to make sure you order the right version though.
