1 TB version acoustic is not comparable to the 640 GB version acoustic because it does have one more platter and of course it is noisier ;) Any acoustic is comparable to any other acoustic. Moreover "of course it is noisier" is completely false. There are plenty of cases where a drive with more pla...

lol, never trust manufacturer acoustics... scythe says the 800rpm s-flex is like 8db. Maybe you should if you compare products from the same manufacturer... not in an absolute way but in a relative way. No, that's still stupid. Intel's Core 2 Duo TDP's are all 65W, for example... Yet if you compare...

Why on earth would he want a black? It loses to blue in 2 of the 3 categories, cost and quiet. Because the price difference is negligible and so is the noise difference (on the WD site they have the same acoustics specs). Black edition is newer, a bit faster and it is guaranteed for 5 years. For a ...

On the WD site, 640 GB Blue and 640 GB Black have the same acoustic specs (and I think it should be apples-to-apples as the manufacturer is always WD).

FYI, 55nm GTX260's heatsink is smaller and worse than that of the 65nm version. And a faster, noisier fan too. Heatsink is smaller but the fan seems the same, still according to this site http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/13533-evga-gtx-260-core-216-55nm-superclocked-edi...

I'm expecting to receive EVGA's 65nm/192core 260 this week. Hopefully, if all goes well, I can post some info about it soon, since almost no one is buying the 65nm/192 shaders cards anymore. I hate GPU fans, so I will probably turn down the clock and try to keep the fan as quiet as possible. I'm cr...

..I know S-FLEX is twice as expensive :p
S-FLEX bearing is better than the plain sleeve bearing of the Slipstream, so they should be better especially for the case fan at the top which is in horizontal position.
